I'm not one to complain. I never have issues with places I live...and I lived in some sketchy places. Pinehurst is the worst. The day I was to move in they didn't have the apartment ready for me. I took off a day of work to move in and because they didn't have it ready until late that night I didn't get to move in until a week later. I still had to pay for it though it was their mistake. A few months later they accused me of having dogs, saying I owed them hundreds of dollars in pet clean up fees and deposits. I do not have any pets. I brought this to their attention but they told me I was lying. That one of their staff had been in my apartment and had seen it. They clearly had the wrong apartment. I asked them to come check my apartment at anytime to confirm that I had no dogs but they never did. They continued to harass me with rude notes on my door saying I owed them money. I finally called Cottonwood Residential to get the problem fixed and the charges taken off my account. My patio door did not shut all the way since the day I moved in. It had a gap about an inch wide to let all the cold winter air in. My electric bill was through the roof and I only kept it at 67 degrees! It took them all winter to get the door fixed. When if was finally fixed the new door did not lock. My apartment got broken in to, my laptop stolen. Pinehurst staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful about the situation. It is months later and my apartment door still does not lock. They still have not fixed the lock on my door! I call and call and call and get no help. The office staff is terrible. Terribly unhelpful and rude. I have to rig my door to stay shut with something I made just to feel safe in my apartment. Every month I have issues with their website when I try to pay rent. Every. Month. I try to call the office and no one answers. If something is wrong, they just don't answer. It is stressful for me to not get my rent paid and to have to check back constantly to see if the website is working. I am busy, I don't have time to constantly be checking on their website. When it finally does work, rent will sometimes not come out of my account for three weeks, about the time the next month rent is due. So I will have almost a thousand dollars coming out all at once. They just can't seem to get it together. Pinehurst is the worst place I have ever lived.DO NOT LIVE HERE. You can find affordable places without this much hassel.

This leasing office definitely pulled a bait-and-switch with me! I signed a lease, under the impression that certain amenities would be made available soon (new laundry room, fitness center), and within the week, I was told that they didn't know when they would be available.

The leasing staff is also VERY rude!!!

We are not allowed to store ANYTHING but SPECIFIC patio furniture on our balconies/patios, as of a few weeks ago, but nothing is done about people with bags of trash on their balconies, their doorsteps, the mailboxes, etc.--it is RIDICULOUS, and we are expected to pay way too much to deal with this crap!

Apartments have thin walls. Bad parking. Maintenance is poor. Rent has increased by $100 per month. There have been a couple of large fires in the past year or so. They charge pet rent and if you are a compassionate person and feed the strays, the apartments will bring legal action against you. Do not consider living here, look for something else. You’ve been warned.

I moved into this lovely apartment complex 5 years ago. Walgreens bought it and quickly took away all the listed "extras" within a year. Rents increased and the property became a firetrap! 5 fires in less than 3 years! Shootings, break ins, and god knows what else! These are a matter of public record so ease check these out!! The property now wants to increase the rent again! Run save yourself!! Don't rent here!
