Amanda is amazing. She did my wedding and made it so perfect. She is amazing with eyebrows and the prices are great. Amanda has a great attitude and a good sense of humor!

This is a full service salon. Manicure, Pedicure, Facial, Wax, Massage and Haircare! Together they do it all!

Amanda is the best! I have used her for a couple years, get my hair done often and love it! I've seen all of the girls work and they are excellent at what they do and very professional at what they do. I highly reccomend making a stop and seeing what they are about before making a desicion based on the previous review.

This salon is well worth your money! The offer full salon services and the girls are really good at what they do. I personally will not be going to another salon! It also is nice to go somewhere where you become part of the process vs just someone in the processs of anothers day. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, get what you want and pay for! I highly recommend visiting this salon!

Modern Elegance is an amazing salon. It hasn't even been opened a year and puts so many other "big name" salons to shame. The employees of M.E. are upbeat and professional at all times. Everyone has a smile on their face and you can tell they love their job. I never feel like they are rushing with me. I've always been asked if I am satisfied with the services I received or if there were changes I wished to make. Not once have I felt the need to change anything. I have been with Modern Elegance since the beginning and with Amanda for even longer. These girls take pride in what they do. They don't cut corners to make a buck.



I was in the salon when the last reviewer was in. I remember her specifically since she made a point to mention how she normally spends $300 to get her hair done. She also mentioned that she was very happy with the services and that she would be coming back again before her cruise. The hair was a not overly processed or bleached out looking. I thought it was very nice.



The stylist she had was attentive and asked a few times if she was happy or if there was anything she would like to change. The way I see it is you cannot blame the stylist for a problem if you never said there was a problem to begin with. This lady was happy or at least acted the part very well. If she wasn't then she should have said something and given the stylist a chance to make her happy, not berate her and the salon online.



I tell everyone to go to Modern Elegance. You will be sure to see me every 6-8 weeks. Like clockwork! :)

Your best bet is to go somewhere else.



I came here because I originally purchased a Groupon for some spa services. I had just moved here from Dallas and needed to find a new salon. Boy was I wrong.



When I first walked in I noticed the very unprofessional dress. Most, not all looked trashy. You can certainly dress up jeans but they weren't even really trying. None the less, I sampled most of the services, so to speak. This is a very young and inexperienced group. I was amazed at the lack of knowledge and skills they had.



Nails: Overall a good job. I do gel manicures on a regular basis. Very nice girl, just needs some more education and experience.



Hair: Oh lord, here is where everything went wrong!! I was getting a wash and style and the girl offered to touch up my highlights. Throughout my visit I was very animate about my hair. Not everyone can do blonde highlights. And I'm not talking about that bleached out white hair that most of these girls had and were so fond of. I'm talking natural highlights that are blended well so as the roots are growing out, it's not extremely noticeable. For any of you who have had a blonde pro do it, you know what I mean. My guy in Dallas charges me a fortune but there's a reason - he's fast and he knows what he's doing. When it was all said and done, my highlights were orange. My first clue should have been when I had to explain to her just how much hair to put in the foil. She also missed several spots - even coming back while I'm under the dryer and dabbing color. This was also evident when she dried my hair. When I pointed out that it looked orange and she missed a spot, her statement was "yes, sometimes I miss a spot". Well it appears she missed the highlight class. She also did a trim on my hair. But mid way through, she stopped and never finished. She offered to have me come back but I was heading out of town for the weekend. It was a terrible experience. Again, a very nice girl but she had no business doing blonde highlights AT ALL.



Needless to say, I went to Dallas and my friends were horrified by my hair. What makes this experience worse is the customer service aspect as well. I called and left a message on Sunday about having someone there fix the mess. As of yet, no one has bothered to call me back.



I found a salon that was open to try and correct the color. The girl did her best to fix it but there is still a hint of orange spots in my hair. Because at this point my once healthy hair is damaged by processing twice. And when she checked the cut, she couldn't help but laugh and show me. There was at least an inch difference in the way she cut it when you pulled the layers up. What a disaster!!



I'm making the drive to Dallas for sure from now on. I've learned my lesson.
