AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

The manager and technicians have been extremely helpful during the whole process of finding out what exactly was wrong with my car and fixing it in a timely fashion.

I am unable to give this company no stars or I would have. They deserve no business from anyone!!!

I took my car here b/c I was having issues with the RPM's going up and down causing driving issues that I felt could be transmission related. I took here b/c they offered a free diagnostic. When I went back I was told my transmission could go out any second and how very unsafe to drive my car was. He told me cost to repair would be $1800 on the low and $2500 on the high end but was unable to tell me exactly how much until they began repair to see just how bad the transmission was. He told me the code was TPS and this means transmission was going out. He was pressuring me to sign a contract but I told him I wanted a 2nd opinion. I go to a family owned transmission shop...he gave me same code description TPS code and I paid for a $33 part from auto zone and replaced the TPS sensor and car is like brand new. This place is a scam!!!!! I feel bad for anyone else that has fell victim to their tactics. They prey on innocent people that are not mechanically inclined to know when you are being lied to. Stay away from AAMCO. I have wrote on this before with more detailed info but it was deleted. Hmmm wonder why?
