1492 New World Latin Cuisine

Always great food. Another winner

Excellent food and service. Portions are a little much and the prices on the high side. Cut both and 1492 would get 5 stars.

My group of 6 had a waiter that brought our food and when the accuracy of the food order was mentioned he was totally out of line and began arguing and telling my friend what she ordered. Very inappropriate. The restaurant is somewhat noisy anyway and he should have said "I'm sorry", but that seems to have not been in his vocabulary. We won't be back and will find a restaurant that hires a wait staff that is accommodating.

Warning: entrees OR appetizers. You cannot finish both! Taking your entree home isn't bad, but you'll be full before it even arrives. We had the Seviche, which would serve 2-4 people, and the creamy Queso with chips.

Both were incredibly good and all four of us had to bring our dinners home. The Cuban dishes are done exactly as they should be...the stuffed pork and shredded beef were our choices. Our servers were friendly, knew the menu, and unobtrusively kept our glasses and chip bowls (regretably) full. There were only 2 other parties in the glass-walled dining room when we arrived, and the room filled up while we ate, but the noise never seemed overwhelming like it can in some places (Chili's).

We had a great meal in a comfortable, non-fussy atmosphere and will definitely be back!
