About 6yrs. ago I went to have some dental implants, and the reason I used Dr. Mudd was I knew that he would put me OUT (don't like pain, ouch). His office and staff were kind and so very helpful. Of course I didn't like sitting out in this open area, lets say it was different, anyway I used him and as far as I was concerned he did an excellent job and haven't had any problems at all using him...

Now again I find myself going back to Dr. Mudd, and the office gal told me that I would have to have ex-rays & a consult and it would be a "no charge". I believe he is the only one around in this area that puts you OUT I have medical reasons so that is why Nitrous Oxide & the numbing compound around the area just wouldn't work at all. I once again go & see Dr. Mudd this Wed. and hopefully he will very soon, pull the two teeth and put the implants in, of course I'll will just have to 'wait & see'.

One of the MAIN reasons I'm using Dr. Mudd again is the fact I went to see a dentist and he had to pull a front tooth out, he numbed the area & gave me nitrous oxide and told me I wouldn't feel a thing. Half way through the procedure he was yelling at me to "quit moaning, and telling me it wasn't that painful"... You see, the gal at the front desk told me that I was to be put to sleep, & not eat anything after midnight etc. When I went back and complained about how I was treated by this dentist to the office manager, she then told me that "I didn't pay for that, and that the dentist doesn't put me or anyone else OUT !!! I have never been treated that badly by anyone in my life!! And the icing on top of the cake is............. the implant itself broke off and now I can't get that office to fix his mistake....

That is another reason I'm going back to Dr. Mudd, knowing that he will take good care of me and will use the very best equipment & implant!!!

Does Dr. Mudd do regular dental work? He told me that "he leaves that for the dentist"...

I went to Dr. Brian Mudd's office to have my two wisdom teeth removed over the summer. They required me to come in for an estimate a few weeks before the surgery. This estimate cost me about $100 just for them to tell me the surgery would cost me $217. I decided to go through with the surgery disregarding the rude staff. Now almost 1 year later, I had a debt collection agency call me at 7:30 pm demanding I pay an additional $176 or I would receive a negative credit rating the following day.This was the first time I heard about these charges. I immediately called my insurance company, Met Life and explained to them the situation. They pulled up my file from the one treatment I received at Dr. Mudd's office. I told them about the pre-treatment estimate and the new charges. My insurance agent at Met Life was surprised to hear I had this estimate, and that I was charged for it. They never received or authorized a pretreatment estimate form, which is a standard requirement before surgery. Of course, I paid the $176.00 specified by the debt collection agency MediCredit to ensure this incident didn’t negatively affect my credit score. The woman I spoke with assured me I could get my money back if spoke with Dr. Brian Mudd's office. My attempts to contact his office were ignored. I sent a letter and called 5 times (only to be hung up on.) This is not the type of treatment I expect from a dentist office. It would be my recommendation to choose another dentist office.
