Colonel Arms Luxury Suites

I was nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews, but had already booked prior to seeing the reviews.

While the guest policy is a little over the top, my stay at Colonel Arms was quite pleasant. The rooms are clean, the location is good, and the owner was very nice. As long as you follow the rules, which are clearly posted you shouldn't have any problems. We rented a 2 bedroom suite and my group definitely was not quiet. We had 11 people in our group, 5 of which were staying elsewhere, so it kind of sucked that they couldn't stop by our room and hang out with us, but all in all not a bad place to stay and I would consider staying here again in the future.

These reveiws are bogus this is a great place to stay and the owner is a gem. No I am not realted ...however I have stayed at Colonel Arms for the past 11 years and it has always been a great experience. I have been there and witnessed "young" not following the rules and being loud and respectfully that's not tolerated. Follow the agreement for guest and noise its that simple. Sounds more to me people are not following guest policies and quiet time like they should and all places have these same rules. From the dates of some of the reviews seems like the issues lie mostly with senior week kids ...go figure. I would reccomend anyone stay here....I have always been pleased ...the only downfall is no pool. Other than that...great place!

I usually never make complaints or comment about my dissatisfaction but I was very unhappy with booking with colonel arms apts. I would recommend NOT booking with them. We were their for 5 hours tops and me and my other 4 friends were getting ready in our place to go on the boardwalk and our two friends had stopped by because we were not all the way ready, our two friends were their for 10 min and we were about to head out when the lady came knocking on the door asking who we had in their and she said you have 30 min to pack your things and leave so we asked why and she went on about how we weren't suppose to have anyone over, and we were being loud which we weren't at all, ect. In a very rude unpolite manner so we proceeded to pack our things and not 10 min later she had the cops come by to make sure we were getting out, I asked the lady how I would go about getting my $300 security deposit back and she said we would have to talk to her daughter Donna because she booked our room for us. I called and left Donna messages no call back from her. I went back to colonel arms the next day to ask how I get it back because she wasn't Anwsering and the guy sitting on the porch told me she would get back to me, watching our room they had already had someone else in our room.. When we had left OC I called Donna again and she had told us we wouldn't get our security deposit back because we were evicted. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM , and obviousely by reading other reviews they have it down to a T . So unprofessional.

I highly recommend NOT booking with this suite!I had made previous arrangements to book this for a weekend about 4-5 months prior to stay and the owners had me go through the process of leaving a deposit as well as signing a contract before contacting me two months later to inform me that they cannot accommodate us anymore because they overbooked them self!Not only did they do nothing to correct the situation, but had also received a very rude and negative attitude from the owner regarding getting my deposit back! Still waiting for my full deposit and will be taking legal action if I do not receive my full refund! Again EXTREMELY unprofessional and rudely handled! Ruined my vacation! Do not book with them!!

DON'T MAKE A RESERVATION AT THE PLACE WITHOUT REVIEWING THE REVIEWS....



I had prior reservations for a party of 8-10 people at The Carousel Hotel, but begin searching to see if I could find a cheaper rate (1st mistake)! Browsing for an accommodation for 8-10 people and scheduled dates, I came across www.funinocmd.com...Long Story Shorten...called and left a message for Colonel Arms, a older women called back, told her I was looking for accommodations for 8-10 people, signed agreement, and looked forward to my trip...



ARRIVED with 6 adults (my mother is disabled) and 5 children (all under 6yrs of age).



First of all, the pictures of the grounds are a joke..When I pulled up there was a older lady and man sitting on the porch, I was greeted and her voice I recognized from my phone calls. She seen us pull up in 2 cars and told me only one car was able to park on the lot. My husband and I went in to check in and the women says, "you know there is only 6 people allowed"...HUH! I was going to ignore what she said, cause thats not what I was told...had my son start taking up our things until, she shows her face with the man and says, " I told you that only 6 people are allowed per room". I told her I spoke with her on the phone and told her I needed accommodations for 8-10 people, she says, "you didn't talk to me, you must of talked to my daughter". My sister in the process was reading the reviews for the property and immediately noticed that everything that was written about her, she was saying to a T:

1. Hides behind her daughter

2. Will book you and then do anything to renege your reservation to keep your money

3. sit on the front porch monitoring who goes in and out, and will accuse you of sneaking guest in to stay.

4. Etc...Read the Reviews!



I was in the lot talking to my family about the situation and trying to locate a place for the remainder of my family to stay, I explained that to the women, meanwhile she says she is calling the cops to explain to me better...This women was not harassed, if that is her policy fine, but she was purposely now trying not to refund my money. When the cops came, I told them what happen and mentioned "I know this is not the first time you've came to this place"...by that time, she had upset my Mother and she didn't trust to stay in such an establishment, that is purposely malicious, conniving, and heartless. The cop told her that is was right for her to refund our money, she gave me a check with the wrong name at first, thought I was someone else...(funny) had her rewrite the check and left immediately. The best thing she did was to call the cops, we found a better room with a beautiful view.



This establishment is an embarrassment to the integrity of Ocean City and what it stands for...Family Enjoyment!

While I rarely express my dissatisfaction for any service rendered, our experience at Colonel Arms Luxury Suites was a complete nightmare.



I along with a group of friends arrived at this establishment on May 22nd for our 4 day stay in Ocean City. The check-in was prompt, the manager, who is also the owner, led us to our ill-named, “luxury suite”. The apartment was decorated in a faux art deco 60’s Floridian theme, try to picture that! For the most part everything seemed clean and tidy. We had a two bedroom apartment, one bathroom. It housed four of us.



That night we have a couple of friends over, about an hour later the landlady (she resides on the premises) was knocking on our door. She said that she could not sleep because we were making too much noise. We turned our music off and dismissed our company. The following morning she again knocked on our door and gave our friend a talking due to regarding the previous night. She also stated that our visiting privileges had been revoked, we were no longer allowed visitors. Under different circumstance the whole scenario would have been comical. That same day, a friend of ours who had just arrived in OC, came to our apartment to use the restroom. Perhaps it had been two minute since his arrival when she knocked on our door yet again demanding that the person who had just arrived left or she would charge us $100. Furious at her idiotic rules we left for the remainder of the day. A side note – she sits on the porch most of the day keeping an eye on her patrons. On Saturday the 24th, we went to buy a few groceries and toiletries. As we were entering the apartment she stated that, “it would not work”. Confused, we asked her to elaborate. She said that one of our group members could not stay with us. We were bewildered, he had been with us since we arrived. She spent 10 minutes explaining to her that he was part of our group. Apparently she believed that we were attempting to bring to in a visitor. By this point were fed up, we could have overlooked the unattractive esthetics of the place, the stench of cigarette smell in her office, the multiple threats of eviction, the non-functioning air conditioning (did I mention the AC did no work?), but quite frankly we were tired of being treated as if she was doing us a favor by allowing to stay at the Suites.



I've gone to Ocean City every year since I was a child, I can not remember staying at any place as bad as the Colonel Arms Luxury Suites. Do not spend your hard-earned dollars at this dump

This place was a decent place to stay in OC, it was pretty clean and 3 bedroom condo was good size. Great location and close to the beach.The owner definitely watches your every move and no guests are allowed to come for any length of time. Had a good time, but probably would not stay again, hard to visit OC with family and friends and not have company over...

There is no rating of zero stars available, but please share with everyone you hear looking for a place to stay in ocean city, MD. Do not trust or stay at this place. I wish that I had taken the time to read these reviews, because they are spot on. Scam artists for sure. They will get you with your payments up front and have no intention of refunding any CASH securities. I have filed a notice to the IRS for what I see as absolute tax evasion. Hopefully an audit is on its way. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE...............The owner is an old hag that lives on site. If she is not peering in your window looking for a reason to kick you out, she will most likely find another reason to keep your money.............she hides behind her daughter, who is the primary contact for the rental............this is my first stop on as many review sites I can find.

Stay away. Scam artist. Professional liars. Would like to give rating of 0 stars. Evicted for nothing. Refused to return security. Tried to put a complaint in with BBB, but they don't deal with these type of compaints. Not a member of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce, so you can't file a complaint with them.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. i made the mistake of going against the other reviews and thinking it can't be THAT bad but trust me when i say it was THAT bad. Me and my group of 6 only spent 1 night at this place after being yelled at and barged in on one night. When we first got there the older woman who ran the place gave us the run down about ALL the rules; no guests, always where the stupid wristbands, one parking space... and the list went ON. After making a few not so funny racial remarks we had a feeling it was going to be a long week. The first night the woman's grandson was arrested by the cops and all this drama went down in the parking lot out front and she had the nerve to tell us to behave. On the third night we got yelled at for being "loud all week" and "destroying the place", funny thing was we weren't even there the first two nights & the woman had the nerve to come into the apartment and yell at us. YOU WILL HAVE NO PRIVACY, ABSOLUTELY NONE. She sat outside ALL day everyday watching our every move. We ended up staying at a friend's hotel room for the last 4 nights. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL.

Me and a group of 10 stayed here for a week in the 2011 summer and to be completely honestly it was no where worth the price. You will get kicked out if you bring even one guest in and the owners are do not even come close to nice people. They treated us like crap and keep part of our deposit for stuff we didn't break. The funny thing is that we have video evidence of us moving in and explaining what we found was broken when we walked in. We should be seeking out legal help soon though. So if you want to have fun DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Nothing looked as if it had been cleaned when we came and it was cleaner when we left. You can get a way better place the this for the money. Basically it is over priced, the service is terrible, you'll lose your deposit, and you will have a terrible time. DON"T STAY HERE!!!!!!!!

This place was awful. It doesn't even deserve a full star. DO NOT STAY HERE! It was too pricey for the terrible service that was given. On the website it says they have a dining area and courtyard and a hot tub and none of this service was given. As soon as we greeted the lady in charge, she gave us attitude and started to argue with us that we didn't fill out certain paperwork that she never sent us. We were required to wear bright orange wristbands all week and if we took them off we were going to be evicted. We finally got up to the room and it was dirty and smelt awful. A picture frame was cracked, the blankets on the couches had big brown stains on them and so did the bed sheets. We consulted the lady in charge and she did nothing and didn't care. We did not make noise and were quiet and her "boyfriend" came out to us one day and was insulted us and saying we were being to loud and we need to learn to walk. It was finally our day to check out and the lady in charge wasn't even at the place. We had to wait 45 minutes for someone to get to the office and it was her boyfriend in his underwear and a robe and was rude to us and told us just to leave. Then we did NOT get our full security deposit back. She claimed that the place was dirty and we broke the picture frame and headboards were broken. The place was cleaner when we left, than when we got there! It was terrible service and an awful place. I HIGHLY recommend you find somewhere else to stay. I would recommend Castles in the Sand.
