Optical Outlets - Ocala

I’m not understanding why it takes so long to pick up my glasses that’s been here for a week no one called or texted me about my glasses, came this morning to pick them up after calling yesterday to find out my glasses was here and it was backed up with customers and I came back before 1 and I’m still waiting for my classes the staff acts like the customers have all day to just in here before they get called or for pick up very disappointing today not happy all at because y’all pick and choose who you call too help it’s aggravating.

I originally wrote a less than encouraging review about this facility but now after almost 1 month I feel that the quality of the glasses are excellent.
Originally I was focused more on the waiting area then the quality of my actual care.

The Doctor that did my exam was the best ever!

I see better now with these glasses than I have in years. It seems I always got glasses that were fairly close but not 100% accurate (lenses).

My new glasses were perfect from day 1 and I haven’t had any problems whatsoever.

Thanks to Doctor Nguyen for her excellent evaluation and probably the first eyeglass prescription I ever had that was 100% accurate.

It was well worth the wait time.

Good prices nice selection of glasses and they do a good eye exam. We will be back because they have a nice staff and do a nice job.

I had my eye exam at Optica Outlets every year. The doctor was informative and the staff was very helpful. Thank you for doing such a good job. I would definitely refer my friends and family here.

Made an appointment on March 8, 2017' to get my eyes checked, had them checked a year ago, had to fill all the same paper work out again? said it had to be done every year? 4 or 5 sheets? Then was sent to the back & sit about 45 minutes to see the doctor? 45 minutes with him? Then said had to go back up front & wait again until they called me? asked someone were are the cheapest glass frames are? a man said their & pointed & walked away? no help at all? I picked the cheapest glasses & gave the to him? then set at the table with him, was told had to pay him $144.89 Total bill was $364.41 with my insurance? I asked was told they were having a Special sale on glasses, 2 pairs of glasses & a free exam for $99.00? He said they did not Horner that special if you had insurance? So WHY DO WE HAVE INSURANCE?

My glasses are a very strong prescription and cost a bundle. They are all smiles when you purchase them but very unpleasant if something is wrong with the glasses. I generally know when something is wrong with my glasses because I have been wearing glasses longer than some of the technicians have been living. It's not the patients fault if it's a lab screw up. Don't ask for your money back you won't get it. Even if they try and fix it there's a charge after you paid a whopping fortune. So out you go with your cockeyed closet glasses that you can't wear.

The only thing good about this place is the price. If you want to experience a business where people HATE their job and show it, go here. Talk about rude, nasty people. I should say, most with that. There were a few, very few, kind people. The doctor was nice. The tech was miserable apparently. Like she must have just found out her boyfriend cheated on her or something and was taking it out on costomers. Bad bad place!!!!

I was very impressed with Dr.Stephanie Rowe.She was extremely curteous and knew her work well.kindly let her know.

Beware consumers if you want to get taken then go to optical outlets in ocala florida. They state they price match consumers go there take down the numbers go to coolshades.com frames that optical outlets were charging us 229.95 for they had for less than 40.00. That is one mark up don't you think? I have been there four times now and my glasses are still not correct, tried to fight it with my care credit card that works with optical outlet beware of them also, seem to all go together because I have them no matter that I can never wear them I have to pay and they released funds to them. Oh well good bye carecredit I am not paying for something I can not use, this is my money, yours suppose to be for me not on the side to rip me off. My husband he went back three times his half work but men seem to let things go verses women. Money is too hard to come by and to be taken advantage of by ths company is unreal. Forget about talking to the owner he could care less, he tells you a story about if he price matched etc etc he would go out of business so instead he preys on us the ones without insurance stay away from optical outlets and don't tangle with care credit

I went in two weeks ago for a contact exam and my prescription did change so I had to get a trial pair of contacts. I was told they had to order them in and this was on a Friday but the girl couldn't do it right then. She had to ask a question with the doctor. I was told she will order them that day. So I left to go home. I called them on Tuesday and asked if they were ordered. I was told they could not tell me if they were or not because of no notes in system. The person I was talking to promised again they will be order that day. The next day I brought a friend in for a eye exam appointment and I made sure they were ordered the day before. They were! So today I was told me trials were in and come and get them. I get in the car for the drive to Ocala to get them. When I got there they gave me the contacts but they were different brand not the ones I have been wearing. I then asked for a prescription for my contacts and got a copy without a doctor signing it. So I called them back and asked for the manager. I was told I would receive my signed copy by email today and I am still waiting at 5:30pm

purchased glasses in Oct and returned several times for adjustments as my vision was blurred and then found a scratch on lens which they told me would cost $80 to replace and I know I had not dropped them like they said I did. Had to had lenses remade at Walmart so I could see. Will never return to any optical outlet ever,

In these times, when money is so hard to come by, you need to look for a place to go that will respect that you work hard for every cent. I paid over 300.00 at the Optical Outlet In the Paddock Mall in Ocala,FL. Included in this amount was insurance to replace my classes, with a small fee, instead of full price. I made 3 trips into the mall(20 miles away) to try to get my glasses to fit properly. Gave up & didn't wear them for 4 months. I decided this was just to much of a waste & once again went to the shop to get the lenses replaced( even if I had to use the insurance). Well, I was refused!! And now have very exspensive glasses that I can't wear. Guess I will just take a hammer to the lenses,use my insurance & have them replaced. BEWARE & Protect your eyes.
