CONSUMERS BEWARE...DO NOT use this business unless you are prepared to be ripped off. I made an initial call to check the price of a wooden playset for our son's 3rd birthday. I spoke with the owner Hugh Keen. The set was more than we were willing to pay so I did not intend to call back. The very next day, I received a call from Hugh wanting to know if we were interested in the set. I told him it was more than we wanted to pay. Right off the bat, he offered to reduce the price by $600 because he needed to get his new business off the ground and he hoped I could serve as a satisfied customer reference for his business. After numerous missed delivery dates and excuse after excuse, not only did he deliver a totally different set than what we ordered, the set is not safe for our child to play on. He sent 3 people to assemble the set and I (a female who is not familiar with construction) could have done a better job by myself. We have had to purchase extra parts from the retailer who sells the set because the people who assembled it either tore the parts up or took them when they left. Hugh Keen is no businessman at all. At first, he agreed to fix all of the problems that we pointed out. He sent a contractor over to work on the set. The contractor came one day, did not complete the job and never showed back up. When we called Hugh, he reminded us that he discounted the set and said a businessman has to cut his losses at some point. Earlier in the process, while we were dealing with "no show" deliveries I would call Hugh and he wouldn't answer his phone. Oddly enough, I would hang up and call from a different phone (one that he was not familiar with) and he would answer immediately. This did not just happen once or twice, it happened several times. He completely ruined the gift for our son's 3rd birthday. The set is not only crooked, it's dangerous (splinters, missing parts, parts in the wrong place, etc). Hugh Keen is not capable of running a reputable business. He will take your money and leave you with a big mess while he moves on to the next victim. I usually do not go to the trouble of complaining about a business but this experience was so unbelievably ridiculous that I felt compelled to warn other consumers. The one star rating gives this business too much credit - should be 0 (zero) stars.
