Alameda County Bar Association, established in 1877, work towards improving access to legal services for residents of Alameda County, Calif. The association promotes professional development, ethics and civility in the practice of law, and communication and cooperation among the bench, the bar and the community. It also promotes fair and equitable administration of justice and diversity in the legal community. The association has partnered with the SunTrust Bank to offer its members and their families, special interest rate reductions on federal student loans. Other benefits offered to members include a year-round membership discount by Hertz, combined first and second mortgage financing by Chase Manhattan Mortgage, and discounts by All Good Guys Stores. Alameda County Bar Association is headquartered in Oakland, Calif.
