Food City

Great Sevice, great prices, fantastic location. I will be back.

Three weeks ago I went to the store to do my shopping, and was comparing prices between different loaves of bread, only to find that the brand that I settled on because I thought it had the cheaper price for the best value, had the wrong pricing label beneath it, and so my efforts were in vain. A week later I am looking for a bottle of salad dressing and am thinking that I have found the one that is the best price, and the best value, only to find that it is placed in an empty slot with the wrong price tag again, so that the store can make it look like they were not out of the product that was supposed to be in its place. Today I went to the store with a very limited budget, and had already calculated how much the products were that I had in hand, so that I would have the money to pay for them when I got to the register. When I got to the register, the amount was over what I had available to pay for it. I had to start all over at the self-check-out machine to put an item back, but then the self checkout machine wouldn't work, even when the attendant tried to make it work. She finally took me over to the regular cash register to pay for it all, when I noticed that the price that it was charging me for the salad dressing was $2.00, when it was marked on the shelf as a close out item for $1.64. I had calculated right all along, and yet had to go through this whole bunch of run around, just because they're stupid employees can't manage to enter into the computer the right price for what they have labeled on the shelves.

Their product selection is terrible, and their prices are too.

I only go there to rent movies now, and go to Kroger for my shopping.

I used to think that Food City was more economical, but after price checking, I have found that Kroger is actually the better value, and the least frustrating shopping experience for me.

I do commend the cashiers at Food City, they do a great job, and are very courteous. Maybe they should apply for a job at Kroger.
