Fluoride Treatment
Fluoride is extremely beneficial for all ages. Fluoride remineralizes the outermost layer of enamel, so it not only helps protect against cavities, but it also helps to desensitize. Dental Implants
The first 10 years of my career was spent concentrating on cosmetic and complex restorative education done mostly at the Frank Spear Institute, recognized as the No. 1 source of advanced dental education by dentists. This culminated with the invitation to be a visiting faculty member at Spear, training with the elite dentists in the country. The last 10 years have shifted focus to dental surgery, including implant placement, gum graft surgery and impacted wisdom teeth removal. Sedation training has been a big part of this. Much of the surgical training was completed at the Triangle Dental Institute under founder Dr. Mark Hunt and Dr. David Simpson, former chairman of UNC Department of Periodontics. From 2015-2018, Dr. DeVaney’s training has been at the Pikos Institute to develop expertise in implants and implant-related grafting procedures. This background gives our patients the benefits of a unique blend of advanced cosmetics, complex restoration and surgical experience. Bone Grafting
Always staying ahead of the curve, Dr. DeVaney attended a 14-hour continuing education course in Sarasota, FL on bone grafting. With the expanded functions we perform in our office under IV sedation, he was looking to expand his bone grafting techniques. This course was held by a very highly regarded periodontist, Dr. John Russo, a nationally recognized expert in dental implants and bone grafting.
