Quite a quaint little place ran by two people. This is not a fast food restaurant so don't expect speed. It is not a buffet so don't expect a large buffet with all you can eat everything. Expect a nice restful meal with conversation to last a lifetime. Our experience was you can't find service like this even from the large chains. Great food, and a great work ethic from two great owners. The food was hot and tasted great.

We received no service for the first 15 minutes of being sat. Finally the owner came up and got our drink and appetizer order. After 45 minutes, he came and got our food order. I enjoyed my food but my fiancee hated her curry. She took one bite, spat it out and told me she wouldn't eat it. When the owner came to see if she wanted a refill, she told him about the food. He YELLED at her and said he was sorry but there was nothing he could do, she order it. The entire restaurant turned around and stared at him. Once he walked away, we heard the people in the back talk about sexually transmitted infections, while everyone was eating. We were both disgusted. When I finished my food, my last went outside to wait for me while I paid the bill and spoke to the owner. I told him he had no right to yell at a passing customer, let alone a lady. Then he begun to yell at me, we had a short confrontation until I walked out without paying. If you want me to pay you, treat me and my lady with respect and properly run a sanitary and proper business. I will NEVER eat here again.

Provided by SuperpagesI live on Oak Island and have eaten here several times. The food is excellent and the service great too. I try to eat there once a week.

Provided by SuperpagesWhile visiting Oak Island I was taken to Thai by the Sea. Not expecting great things from a Thai restaurant in the South, especially one at the beach, I was absolutely amazed at the quality of food and outstanding service. We visited again the following night and will continue to make this a ritual every time we come to the Oak Island area. This place is better than most of the expensive Thai restaurants in the Baltimore/Washington/Northern Virginia area.

Provided by SuperpagesI dined here off season while in Brunswick for work. The service was polite and attentive but it was the food that was amazing. I'm from LA and Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen. Who would have thought that the best Thai food I've ever tasted would be on a quaint island off of North Carolina. My business associate and I ate until we were stuffed then ordered even some dishes to-go, so we could have them for lunch the next day. So, if you are ever vacationing in the area forget the seafood restaurant and head for Thai by the sea!
