General Info: About Vanessa Johnson, MD Dr. Vanessa Johnson completed her medical training at Cornell University Medical College in 1995 and received her Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University School of Public Health the following year. She did her general medicine residency at Rhode Island Hospital/ Brown Medical School and remained there for a hematology/ oncology fellowship. She is board certified in several specialties, including internal medicine, hematology, oncology, and hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Johnson is highly regarded in the medical community. She served as a staff physician at Oncology & Hematology Associates, P.C. for ten years, and worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Waterford, Connecticut.
