This review's a doozy. Scroll to the bottom and read the short summary to save time. I

Our food had finally arrived. My burger patty was the size of a small wallet, with the bun itself being almost double in square-inches. The toppings included one slice of iceberg lettuce, sprinkled on shredded cheddar, one strip of pickle, smaller than a pinky in both length and girth, a pickled turnip, same size. and 3-4 chunks of tomatoes, that look like they'd belong in a salsa. The fries I received were seasoned, extra crunchy on the outside, but soft and undercooked on the inside. They were literally flash-fried. The meat was charbroiled, and overcooked, using a 75% lean 25% fat patty. Tasted exactly like a Kroger-Value brand frozen meat patty. My girlfriend's lasagna was dry, flavorless, and luke-warm. If you've ever eaten a lasagna at a school cafeteria, let's just say the school's lasagna was better. It was that bad. And for $12.99, it doesn't come with a side of bread, or salad, or anything. Just a fist-sized square chunk of bland awfulness. During our dining experience, one of the male employees was pacing around the restaurant, yelling obscenities into his phone, mostly about using up a whole box of tea. It greatly disturbed our meal. He literally paced around his restaurant (He was the owner, we believe.) yelling into his phone for 5-10 minutes. He couldn't have done this in the back, or outside? He made eye contact with us, with a mean look on his face. He didn't even care. It's almost like he already knew we weren't coming back.

We had spent about 30 minutes or so eating. Only one other couple had come in, and they had went to the hookah bar outside. We noticed the male server had taken a few puffs of the hookah from outside their line of sight before bringing it to them. I don't know anything about hookah smoking, but I find it pretty disgusting to share the mouthpiece of anything with a complete stranger. Since we spent nearly over an hour there, we noticed the same exact people outside at the bar milling on their cell phone / laptops had barely eaten anything off their plates, and even had their food changed out of the exact same plate at one point. I had started to think that these people were just friends of the staff, or possibly paid by the restaurant to give it an illusion that the place was busy. The bar is viewable from the highway outside the restaurant. We finished our food, and got our bill. Did I mention the price of this place is outrageous? They luckily messed up the price on my "cheese" burger, (Sprinkled cheese does not count as cheese.) so I paid a few bucks less than the menu suggested. Still, it cost $12.99 for a lasagna the size of a fist, without any sides, and $11 for a burger that had a child size amount of fries. Did I mention the lack of ketchup, or any sauce on the burger? We checked out the bar afterward. I ordered a few drinks, and my girlfriend (An experienced bartender herself.) tipped me off that they weren't mixing the proper amount of alcohol into their drinks. We questioned the bartender, and he said that's what management told him. After my girlfriend and I had left for the evening, we came back around three hours later, and I decided to see who was there. It was THE SAME PEOPLE AT THE BAR! They clearly had been paid / friends of the staff, to deceive customers that the joint was busy. We also later learned through social networking that the ingredients they used were mostly value brand products from the grocery store right down the road.

TL:DR summary- Staff is awful, food is awful, price is awful. Bartender shorts customers alcohol. Avoid at all costs. I'd like to mention the staff have copy/pasted positive reviews on several sites to further mislead customers. Same name / the users only review. Beware.

Zonga's the restaurant that shouldn't

When we were bing seated, my mom told the waitress that her chair wad dirty. The waitress told her she could get a new chair, instead of getting one for her or cleaning it off. The food was average (you can get the same quality food for less at the Kroger's) when we actually got it. The service was horrible! Our waitress recommended the old-fashioned hamburger and said she'd never tried anything else. She messed up our order 4 times and had to remake the "pizza". The waitress leaned over my dad to get plates off the table like she was going to give him a lap dance. Our waitress also took away our plates before we were finished with them. The manager came over to our table twice and the service continued to be deplorable. Oh here's a little riddle for you what gets put in food that makes you feel like you've been sucking on a salt block and gives you a splitting headache? If you guessed MSG you'd be right! The grand total for our less than mediocre meal and rediculous service $70.00 for four people with no alcohol. Happy Easter! If you want Mediterranean food go to Cafe Medi they actually have good food and good service.

The restaurant was beautiful inside but empty on a Saturday night which wasn't a good sign. The service was poor and the waitresses uninformed. One person in our group asked if the fries were seasoned and he was told they were not which was very far from the truth. Another one in our group asked about the sauce on a dish and the waitress could not answer. The food was ok but pricey. I did not order anything but shared some of my husband's burger. It was good and I didn't mind the seasoned fries but it was not worth the price. Most of our group said they would not return which is a shame because it is very nice inside with a nice patio even though this is not a great location to sit outside on a patio.

The place is very trendy and new and was practically empty when we got there. The hostess greeted us and promptly sat us down. The waitress came and took our drink orders within minutes. So far so good. The tomato basil soup and our salads were great. However, the waitress did not know what salad dressings they had to offer. She did not offer to go and find out. When she did find out she could not tell us what was in the Mediterranean dressing. The Chicken Marsala was a little salty. The asparagus was well cooked and seasoned. The spaghetti and meatballs were a big big disappointment. The sauce was decent but the meatballs were bland, there was water in the bottom of the bowl and the pasta was well past al dente. Think Campbell's chicken noodle soup consistency. One thing I was surprised at was the prices. Fair for a place that gives you the first impression that you'd be lucky to find something for less than $20 on the menu.

Bumpy launch=great rebound

The computer ate our order but I took this opportunity to order the Street plate appetizer. The owner covered it anyway and I understand why they don't call the grape wrapped rice dolmas. These are far better. Order this plate before choosing your main order. The best falafel, too! Have deduct a star for the hour wait though.
