Teeth Cleaning
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
Space Maintainers
A space maintainer is used when a primary tooth is lost prior to the permanent tooth’s eruption. Without the use of a space maintainer, the teeth that surround the open space can shift, impeding the permanent tooth’s eruption.

Crowns
A band-and-loop maintainer is made of stainless steel wire and held in place by a crown or band on the tooth adjacent to the empty space. The wire is attached to the crown or loop and rests against the side of the tooth on the other end of the space.

Our son may not have the most complicated orthodontic case in history but he is certainly a top contender! Dr. Bob and his staff have taken exemplary care of Dan. Every staff member has gone above and beyond to provide personalized service by scheduling multiple appointments each week, seeking Dan for an occasional after hour’s emergency appointment and making Dan feel special each and every time he is in their office. Dr. Bob has consulted with specialists locally and in Boston to ensure Dan received expert care during the oral surgery involved in his treatment. He has also arranged his personal schedule to accommodate the post surgery appointments that were necessary. His personal commitment to Dan’s treatment has been very reassuring to us, his parents, as well as to our teenaged son. Since we have had more appointments than a typical patient, we have had many opportunities to see Dr. Bob and his staff treat other families with the same compassion we have received. Without reservation, we will always recommend Baarsvik Orthodontics based on our experience.
