Movers & Groovers

We hired Ron Fulmer and his company Movers and Groovers in 2015, and during our move one of his employees stole close to $10,000 in jewelry and family heirlooms; this employee methodically selected and pocketed more than a dozen items from two houses and kept a box on the truck from being delivered. (Witnesses at a local pawn shop verified seeing pieces of our missing jewelry after being shown pictures.) This employee is a repeat offender with an extensive criminal record. Movers and Groovers was irresponsible and negligent in hiring him and giving him access to our homes.

Throughout our ordeal, Ron Fulmer was dismissive, uncooperative, and ultimately unresponsive. He denied responsibility, telling us he’d told the employee not to steal anything!!.

This is a case of gross negligence so we sued Ron Fulmer and Movers and Groovers.
We won a judgement, which has been recorded with the Charleston County Clerk of Court as well as the Charleston County Sheriff’s office.

Booked them 2 weeks in advanced. Called the morning of to confirm,he called me back and said they'd be an hour late. My appointment was for 1pm. 2:30 came - Called and left a voicemail asking where they were. 3:30 got a call back. Said they are still running late and hope to be there in the hour. 5:30 I sent a text very heated at this point. They stated they'll be there tonight.... At 6:45PM Sent them a text saying forget it and cancelled. 845 yep that's right 8:45!!!!! Someone is knocking on the door... "Movers" I cancelled them 2 hours ago. They are the worst. Run, run, run!!!!!

Horrible people! I used them to move in February. They damaged a TV, my son's bed, and numerous walls and door frames. The one thing I couldn't ignore was the rip in my laundry room floor. Not only did they rip it, but the mover left my washing machine moved out away from the wall to hide the tear. Not until I slid it back did I realize there was a huge rip in the middle of where the washer sat. I contacted "management", got a quote for repairs and filed a claim through all the proper channels, but all they did was ignore me and send me "you'll get your check this week" emails. To this day they have never accepted ownership and taken care of what their movers did to my house. Finally, last month I went to their physical address listed on Google to speak with someone and there's nothing there. This company is a TOTAL scam! RUN!!!

Run from this company!!! They damaged walls and broke furniture. They stole $500 worth of valuables from my draw. One guy was on drugs and passed out in the truck. That left two guys to move my home. It should have taken 6 hours and it took 13 hours. They left without setting up the beds so we had to sleep on the floor. The owner is a liar and is rude and will not take responsibility for his employees. I am calling the police and have to take them to smalls claims court. I had to pay $650 to get the walls and ceiling fixed in the house I moved out of because I can't sell it that way. The owner said he would take care of it but now won't except or return my calls. Look at these reviews, the good ones were put up by the owner and his friends no doubt!!!

These guys are the BEST movers I've ever hired! I cannot express how kind, professional, hard-working, careful and STRONG these guys are. No damage and no scratches - they helped me pack what I couldn't get to before they arrived.....on time! They worked as a team and have never seen a truck packed so tight! They loaded the truck of a full house of furniture, artwork, grandfather clock and antiques in less than 3 hours!!!! However, I do have one complaint.....Morris' photo should be on the truck! Morris is a genius. BTW, I've used Two Guys and a Truck before and it was a nightmare! Do not use any other moving company or you'll regret it. Take it from someone who has lived all over and even moved to Europe. Movers and Groovers are 2nd to none.

We have moved twice in the past 5 months and could compare moving companies. Movers & Grovers did a great job. They loaded the truck well, we're very respectful and courteous, and an efficient work crew. They would wrap any items that we requested to be wrapped, and put all items where we requested. It did help that we had recent experience and had everything well packed and ready when they arrived. I would HIGHLY recommend them over 2 Men & Truck. They were price competitive as well. We knew we needed 2 trucks and they came prepared! We would use them again .... Although we hope to not be moving anytime soon. The 2 moves in 5 months was enough.

Do NOT use this company..They packed our belonging, stored them, and ruined them..Molded chair, dented, gouged & warped furniture from every room in our house. Ruined lampshade & picture..Many, many missing belongings. The magnitude of devestation pails when compared to the magnitude of their indifference. We "think" we bought moving insurance..as of late the owner has not returned emails, phone calls...similar stories from others who had stuff damaged and missing.
