I was at the lingerie department to purchase a special type of bra because I just had a mastectomy with implants for cancer. I saw online that JC penney had the bra that I needed. So I asked the sales associate if they had the bra in stock at the store. So in front of God and everybody in the lingerie department she asked "What size are you?" I replied "34C". She replied back "No, there's no way your a 34C, maybe a 34B, but not a 34C".

I explained to her, that because I just had surgery, I still have a lot of swelling and I don't fit into any of my 34 B's at home. I have a 34 C at home that I fit into, but it has an underwire and my surgeon doesn't want me to wear an underwire. She replies "well, we discontinued that bra". She did try to help me find another similar bra, but I was so upset by what she said that I just walked out.

First of all, I don't like people asking me my bra size. If they were sold out of it anyway, that should have been her answer or just point me in the direction of the similiar bras without asking me my size.

Second of all, why would I lie about my bra size? I think people get used to these chics wearing padded push up bras, that they lose reality of what a real 34C is. I wasn't wearing a padded push up and I am a true C cup. I went out of there in tears. I could hardly keep my composure. It's bad enough having cancer and having to go through mastectomy and implant surgery and then have some lady insinuate that I am lying about my bra size.

I proceeded on to another store and found something similar to what I was looking for in 34C which fit perfectly. I will never go back to JC penney lingerie.

I left a package at a check-out and no one turned it in, Disappointed, I didn't expect to be reimbursed for my loss, but an offerring of 20% off my next purchase would have been a good business gesture.
