Overall
Great Kinky twists!!

I came in today spur of the moment and Alima made nothing but time for me. She did a wonderful job on my kinky twists. I was really nervous about what it would look like but she reassured me that she knew what she was doing. Thanks again Alima! -India

Overall

I really needed my hair done for school and I called the shop and asked when I could come get my hair done. She asked me when I was free, and I was able to come in that next hour to give me time to get there and look in her book of different hairstyles. It took 6 1/2 hours to do my hair. It was not rushed, and normally at most shops they take breaks to eat and leave you waiting for an extra hour. That was not the case she waited to do my hair first before she ate. Also she was very friendly. Most of the braiding places I've been too were a little rude and don't listen to what I am asking for. They did my Senegalese exactly how I wanted and I will be getting my hair done there from here on out.

Alima saved me !!!

I got some poetic justice braids done last week at another shop. ( NOT affiliated with Alima) My braids already started falling out and looked extremely old . They were not done correctfully mot full at all I personally was not going to walk around looking crazy . I got referred to Alima by a customer at my Job a while ago . I called Alima and the next day she had time to help me . She was very fair in her pricing and felt sorry for my situation . My braids are BEAUTIFUL !!! Alima is the best !

Overall
Great experience!!!

This was my first time getting senegalese twist at Alima- wow, what a great experience! I have had my hair braided so many times before but never found the place that I wanted to go back to... until yesterday!!! I absolutely love my braids. Although she got there 20 min late and the place doesn't look the best from the outside, the inside is nice and cozy and the owner and her sister are very nice. They are great team and work hard to get the job done fast. It took about 7 hours to finish and yes it did hurt a little bit but it was so worth it!!!!Nobody ever before took so much time applying all different product to my hair to make sure the final look is perfect. What I also like is that the owner told me at the beginning of the appointment that the price will have to change due to my hair type and length (I am white and have silky, long and thick hair what she wasn't aware of during our conversation on the phone). I had experience in different hair salon that the price has changed from $150 to $300 but the person didn't tell me about it until it was time to pay... not cool... but like I said this women has a class and told me at front. I would definitely recommend Alima to everybody!!

Horrible.. Got Nubian twists a...

Horrible.. Got Nubian twists and they where falling out the next day. I go back to have put them back in and she said I could come at 10. Called me at 9 and ask of I can come at 11 and when I arrive im waiting on her to get there.30 mins late! Then she trys to say its the kinda hair I used why its falling!! Some customer service! AFTER I WROTE THIS REVIEW SHE CALLED MY CELL PHONE AND ASKED ME WHY I DID A REVIEW AND ASKED WHY DID I SAY THAT MY BRAIDS WHERE FALLING OUT THE NEXT DAY..BECAUSE THEY WERE!!! THAT WAS SO UNPROFESSIONAL FOR HER TO CALL ME AFTER THE HORRIBLE SERVICE THAT SHE DID AND QUESTION ME ON WHAT I HAD TO SAY. I REALLY HOPE WHOEVER OWNS ALIMA HAIRBRAIDING (BECAUSE I DOUBT SHE DOES) THAT THEY REALLY TEACH THIS LADY HOW TO HANDLE HER BUSINESS IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND NOT CALL THE CLIENTS FUSSING WITH THEM ON HOW THEY FELT SHE DID..I do not recommend this place to anyone...
