Decided to go to Bairs on a Friday 4/10/15 for a burger around 7pm. Have always had good food before. The restaurant was not real busy (and now I know why) but the waitress came over with another girl who she said was training. Order drinks and this is where it started to go down hill. I ordered a Boston Lager and the waitress looked at me like I had three eyes...I repeated it...still the deer in the headlight look. I showed her the menu, "Oh you want a Sam Adams, I just never heard it called anything but that." Sorry I guess Sam Adams now only makes that one beer. Forget the other 49. We ordered fried pickles, which came pretty quick and were OK but nothing outstanding. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and my wife fried mushrooms. I ordered my burger Med-well, which was my second mistake. After about 45 minutes and munching on the pickles which were now cold and really distasteful the food arrives...OMG. The bun on the burger was hard and cold, the burger was done but dry as a bone, even ketchup and mustard couldn't help. I had ordered lettuce, onion and tomato but could find them until after I ate half of the soggy fries of which they had piled on top of the condiments so they couldn't be found. The tomato was pitiful, the lettuce was all stock and the piece of onion was the end and a quarter of an inch thick and had the consistency of a hockey puck, never did find the swiss and mushrooms on the burger. The award winner was the fried mushrooms.. smelled bad, tasted bad and were fried in very old oil because they had that taste. My wife was able to eat one or two and I ate one also.. Geez really bad. So we paid the bill and left..$35 plus tip for the worst food I've had in a long time. Tried to get the managers attention, but he had been chic chatting with some guy forever so I gave up. Next time it's down the street for wings instead.

My son and I decided to try their hamburgers for lunch but, unfortunately, we did not get that far. When we entered we were told to sit anywhere so we did. There was only one other table inside that was occupied. This was between 1:00 and 2:00 (?) on Saturday, August 23, 2014. We were give silverware and menus and there we sat. We saw a couple of girls busing tables and there was a waitress (?) that was just walking around and talking with employees in the back. She continued to ignore us. We waited almost ten minutes for someone to take our order but no one ever did. We got up and left and we will not go back. Apparently the waitress does like to earn tips.
