Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 160-bed facility that offers short- and long-term care. Its short-term rehabilitation services include therapies, patient and family education, home screening and facilitation of home care, equipment acquisition and alternate level of care placement. The center offers long-term care services to people with physical and cognitive deficit. Its services include primary care, medical specialty consultation, restorative therapies, on-site dental services, palliative care, social work, and psychological and psychiatric counseling. Located in Niagara Falls, N.Y., the center also operates a volunteer program that includes activities, such as arts and crafts, bingo, cards, reminiscing, religious services, sports, exercise and music programs. Additionally, the volunteers perform services, including letter writing, reading and serving as a companion.
