Walmart - Pharmacy

Today I took my wife to pick up multiple prescriptions at the pharmacy at Walmart in Newport, Oregon and she was treated so rudely that I cannot keep silent.

We have had many prescriptions filled at this store, spending several hundred dollars in the process on top of what they have gotten from insurance.

Out of 8 prescriptions sent electronically three days before, six were filled and ready, one was "being filled" and one was out of stock. My wife asked what prescriptions were ready and the pharmacy technician acted as if she was really being inconvenienced to answer such a question and then instead of answering my wife who is Latina, she spoke to me and ignored my wife. She read off the list of medications to me, ignoring my wife and mispronouncing several in the process. My wife then asked if she could pick up only one of the medications today and the rest when they got the out of stock medicine in. The pharmacy technician gave her an irritated look and said, I am assuming to her supervisor, that she needed a "separation".

For the rest of the time we were at the counter the pharmacy technician only spoke to me and ignored my wife. When the pharmacist came to explain the medications he did the same thing and that made me angry. Although my wife is Latina, she speaks fluent English and in fact has less accent than the pharmacist who was explaining the medications. His rudeness was unacceptable.
