Internal Medicine
Dr. Vincent C. Hung is a plastic surgeon with unique credentials. A graduate of Stanford University, he received his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine. Prior to becoming a plastic surgeon, he trained and became board-certified in internal medicine and dermatology. In addition, Dr. Hung completed a fellowship for the specialized technique of the removal of skin cancer at the University of Pittsburgh. This procedure, called the â€œMohs micrographic techniqueâ€ , has the highest success rate for the removal of skin cancer.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL) is a type of liposuction that uses high-frequency sound waves to break up the fat before its removal. This is done through a special cannula that delivers a combination of vibratory mechanical energy and thermal energy into the fatty tissue, allowing the removal of large amounts of fat underneath the deepest layers of skin.
Chemotherapy
Skin cancer treatment always begins with the removal of the cancerous mass. Smaller lesions are often removed in-office using local anesthesia. Removal techniques can include excision or desiccation. More aggressive forms of skin cancer may require further treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation.

Dr. Hung has been in practice in Southern California for over 21 years. He has unique qualifications and experience. He initially trained and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and subsequently trained in Dermatology, General Surgery, and Plastic Surgery. Wound Care
Dr. Hung is very kind and caring, very professional, experienced and answers any and all questions that you might have regarding your Mohs surgery. Ear Surgery
Procedure: Set prominent ears back closer to the head, or reduce the size of large ears. Most often done on children between the ages of 4 and 14 years (occasionally covered by insurance).
Mohs Surgery
Reconstruction of the lip after Mohs surgery will obviously depend on the location and size of the defect. Typical reconstructions will involve linear closures, flaps (where adjacent tissue is moved into place), and rarely skin grafts. Reconstructive goals are maintain the normal contour and outline (white roll) of the lip.
Reconstructive Surgery
Nose reconstructive surgery will help repair aesthetic issues caused by skin cancer removal from the noseâ€™s surface. It can provide a more symmetrical, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Skin Cancer
Skin cancers of the ear are due to sun damage and therefore the incidence differs significantly between men and women. Men, who mostly wore short hair in their youth when they received most of the sun exposure on the ear, have a high incidence of skin cancer on the ear. These skin cancers can occur on the front or anterior portion of the ear. They can also occur on the back or posterior portion of the ear; presumably from many hours of their back facing the sun during youth activities. In contrast, women have a much lower incidence of skin cancer of the ears. Generally women who do get skin cancer on the ears, wore the ear hair short, in pony tails during their youth

Lesions
These goals of eyelid reconstruction can be accomplished through linear closures (vertically or diagonally oriented) if the defect is not too large compared to the general laxity of the eyelid skin. For larger lesions flaps, movement of adjacent eyelid, cheek, nose, or forehead tissue can be performed. When the lesion is not on the lid, margin skin grafts can be used. In cases where there is a large full thickness defect of the lower eyelid, a Hughes flap can be employed, where lining of the upper eyelid can be used to create new lining for the lower eyelid.
