Glasgow High School operates under the guidelines set by the Christina School District. It is a college preparatory school offering a wide variety of honors and advanced placement courses. The school offers instruction in mathematics, social studies, science and technology, health education, foreign languages, business studies, family and consumer sciences, English, agriculture science, fine arts and physical education. It has athletic teams in soccer, cross country, hockey, football, cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, swimming, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse softball and tennis. The school organizes various student clubs and activities, including Delaware Career Association, chess club, French Club, Chorus, band, Future Farmers of America, percussion ensemble, international club, math league and National Honor Society. Located in Newark, Del., Glasgow High School serves the educational needs of more than 1,300 students and offers classes from grades eight through 12.
