Zucca Trattoria Incorporated

My sister recommended Zucca to me for a relaxing wining and dining "Saturday date night" out with my husband and I have to say she was right! Everyone was so kind and the owner actually sat with us and we talked for hours. It felt like we had known him always, like family! Drinks, food, a "ten"! Desserts are my weakness and these were out of this world! Highly, highly recommend on all levels!

This place is perfection! From the father and team, to the wait staff, to the daily specials, to the desserts! All top-notch! Atmosphere is so comfortable and you feel like you are the only customer in the restaurant. This will be my regular Saturday dining out for the 4 of us!

To be fair the food was excellent but over priced. I had a side order of pasta with my meal, lunch time, and it wasn't even enough for two bites. My husband and I had one drink each and one entree and the bill was over $65.00 - FOR LUNCH!!!! The service was good but let's face it - this isn't an 'IT' place or packed to get in. For a new place Organica Italiano (right next door) is a much better deal. We didn't feel like Zucca was trying to attract the neighborhood clientele, just more tourists. We miss Pennyfeathers - and especially Angela! The prices were right and she cared. My husband talked to the new owner who was proud of his places in Long Island - maybe people in Long Island aren't feeling the recession - he said he caters to the Long Island clientele so maybe they'll take the drive in but for Greenwich Village it's just trying to be another strip, hip place. Sorry - but how much can someone charge for pasta?
