P.S. 115 Alexander Humbol offers an array of learning opportunities for more than 850 students in kindergarten through grade six. Its language arts programs emphasize reading, writing, phonics and vocabulary. The school s social studies classes offer information on the diversity of world communities and the similarities and differences among the nations that make up the western hemisphere. P.S. 115 Alexander Humbol also operates chess, cheerleading, baseball, basketball and art clubs. It additionally works with the Children's Art Society and offers a variety of after-school programs. Located in New York City, the school also conducts parent workshops, literacy groups and special reading programs. P.S. 115 Alexander Humbol is managed by The New York City Department of Education.
