Mark On Madison

I have been a customer of Mark's for a very long time. The reason why I have been a "old" client is because he is one of the best hair stylist I have ever been to. I must say he does takes his time, that is because he is very detailed oriented and prefers to get the job done right rather than rush and leave your clients unsatisfied. When it comes to hair he is talented and just amazing. I don't live close and travel some distance to get my hair done, this shows and proves that I go out of my way to get my hair done from him and I am VERY SATISFIED. Double thumbs up for Mark!!!!

I've been getting my hair cut by Mark for a few years now. I've always been satisfied with how the cuts come out, much more so than at the other places I've tried in NY. He's very friendly, he's not too pricey, and he takes a clearly professional interest in barbering. The one caveat I'd offer is that they're often very busy / in-demand, and so you may end up waiting a while, especially if you want a specific barber and not just the next person available. Try fixing an appointment before hand. Otherwise, great business, I'd recommend to everyone.

Mark and the staff at MOM are 100% professional and have some serious skills. In the past, I have had my hair cut at some of the best salons in the city and can say that Mark's cuts are just as good (at a fraction of the cost). Although they do cut women's hair here, most of the customers in the shop are usually for hair extensions, as that is their specialty. Mark, the owner, has been cutting hair for a long time. Going to Mark you get the best of both worlds: his down to earth barbershop attitude matched with the refinement and sophisticated sensibility that you would expect at a salon. Bottom line: Mark takes his time, asks you what you want, listens, tells you what he thinks, and the result is a great haircut.

I never write reviews. No, really....never. But I felt compelled to write one about this place. I travel all over the country for work. I'm on the road (outside of FL) for 7-10 months out of the year. Someone different cuts my hair practically every month. I have gotten a haircut in pretty much every major city in the country and I have never gotten a better haircut then I got from Mark at Mark on Madison. If I had hip hop mogul money I would fly Mark all over the country with me to be my personal hair dresser. If you are living in the city of New York, you should not be going to anyone else. Plus, the atmosphere is very good. What else do you want?

An amazing experience! I love the new style and color! Very skilled hairdressers!! I have never enjoyed haircuts, but I felt really comfortable and had a great time on my first visit. This is the best Salon I've been to in New York - the hairdressers are so talented. Unfortunately, it is getting so expensive that I have to add an extra week between colors. Even the products have now gone up quite a bit. (That's the reason I've rated it as Very Good, not Excellent). But, I'd rather scrimp on other areas in life and get a really good cut and color - even if it does cost me over $50 a week by the time I split the cost by the number of weeks in between visits.

I've got my Hair extensions done for my makeover. The extensions are so realistic and natural that it made me look fresh and beautiful.I love my hairstyle more than ever. All thanks to Mark on Madison.

I suffered from very extensive hairloss and needed a hairstyle which could hide my patches as much as possible as I didnt wanted to put on wig. I was suggested of Mark by one of my colleagues and I must admit that I'm fully satisfied and thankful to them.
