Professionalism

My Mom made an appt to have her beloved Yorkie of 10yrs Euthanized. They took us back and gave him an exam. They tried to talk her into increasing his meds with no guarantee it would work. This was agonizing for my Mom since the apt was made for a specific purpose and she had thought long and hard to come to this decision. We waited an excruciating hour before they finally took him. We should have been there 5 mins as discussed with others who have had to put their dogs down. Now they have made my Mom second guess her decision.

Agree with the other 1 star reviews, waiting room too tiny also and the wait time is ridiculous. Go somewhere else.

Beachwood Animal Hospital (Dr....

Beachwood Animal Hospital (Dr. Melissa Jackson) saved our caps life fromt being very sick with diabetes. Mickey originally upon recommendation from a animal clinic here in Palm Coast recommended a hospital in St. Augustine who in turn transferred him daily between the hospital and clinic (owned by the same people) and hit us with a bill for 7 days over $4,000.00 returning him to us still in a sickly state. Dr. Jackson of Beachwood called us and had us drive 50 miles one way with Mickey to her. She not only treated him at Beachwood but took Mickey home over the weekend and a couple of days charging far less than St. Augustine Hospital and got him back to a normal diabetic life for Mickey. Beachwood staff and doctor has always reviewed in writing any treatment and charges prior to a treatment with prices norm for an animal hospital. Dr & staff are fully qualified with their treatment and we now travel 100 miles round trip with al four (4) of our cats for Dr. Jackson to care for. She and her staff are most qualified and care giving than most veterinary staff we have ever met. If you find charges high, why not get insurance on your pet and Beachwood would be very happy to recommend one to you. We will continue to use Beachwood as long as we have a pet and we thank God for Dr. Jackson and staff. All know what they are doing!!!

Best Vet Ever

Dr. Jackson and her staff truly care about my pets. They only recommend what is best for my animals. Dr. Jackson always performs a thorough physical when examining my pets and the staff is very gentle with them. Thank you Dr. Jackson, you are the best vet ever!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Do not go to...

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Do not go to this clinic!! They will lie about upfront pricing (Their estimate) with fine print that says this does not include treatment. The treatment is something they know they are going to perform right away. This treatment is an extra 70% of your original price!!!!! By definition, an estimate includes all expected services to be performed and their expected payment. If something comes up, a price on top of the original estimate is to be conveyed to the customer. This SCAM business knows they are going to do these expensive treatments and performs them right away without an explanation or informing the customer of the cost. This is a nasty, underhhanded business model. "Professionals" acting and charging like crooked mechanics. I spoke with my neighbor after the fact and learned of another local vet that is supposedly very honest and affordable. www.glencoevet.vetsuite.com I have never been there and cant give them a thumbs up or down, all I can do is urge you to find a different vet. This company should be shut down and sued. TO BEACHWOOD: STOP RIPPING OFF LOCALS IF YOU INTEND TO STAY IN BUSINESS!!

These people care only about one thing - money! Cost me over $150 every time I brought my dog(s) here. Wanted me to spend an additional $130 on labwork as part of a routine annual check with shots because my dog was a "senior" dog, albeit a very healthy one! If my dog gets sick, I'll get labwork done. Otherwise, see ya! Not to mention that they almost killed one of my dogs by prescribing more than double the human dose of an antibiotic!
