BUYER BE WARE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. After 5 months of trying to get them to honor our contract (23 phone calls and 6 emails which they never responded to) I ended up having to file a small claims petition to get them to return my $2,600.00 deposit. It was only after they received the summons to appear in court that they finally responded, and ultimately refunded my money to me. I had to miss a day of work and pay the court filing fee in order to get my money back. This company is not trustworthy. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM...YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO.

Sears is such a rip-off, if I could give them no stars I would. Their home project team for NY is a disgrace. Don't expect any responses from anyone, they don't even let you know about appointment times and dates, shameful. If you need to contact corporate, GOOD LUCK! You will be passed along to about 5 different departments before you make one big circle with your call to complain about the lack of service. The sub-contractors for the work- TERRIBLE! We've been over a month with no hot water and they refuse to change the plumber. POOR VALUE overall and POOR Customer Service!! Go with another company that values it's customers, stay far away from Sears.

I had a very bad and disappointing experience. Do not use their service. They never returned my calls, the contractor did not keep the appointments, and they appear to be unqualified. After making all the measurements for a bathroom job, they got it wrong, then they postponed the work for two weeks, but they did not show up to start the job as they promised (it cost me three days of work waiting for them). They charged me almost $4000 (30% of the contract), which I paid, (they charged Sears credit card), but they never delivered anything (neither the work or materials – the job was supposed to be finished in 7 weeks from signing the contract). Presently I am in a dispute with Sears credit card (which also refused to refund the money). Most likely I am going to court.
