I love the Breast Center and St. Charles Surgical Hospital. I was thoroughly traumatized after my mastectomies and original reconstruction in Atlanta went all kinds of wrong. It took me 2 years to work up the courage to go for a second try at reconstruction. Two years of depression and extreme unhappiness with my poor, scarred up body. Dr. Wise did amazing work with my DIEP. Not only restored my breasts, but restored my mental health.

My overall experience exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend St. Charles Surgical Hospital to anyone who might need their services. I spent three months first researching breast reconstruction options not only in Australia but around the world. After coming to a decision as to which reconstruction plan I felt was best suited for my circumstances and me, I then spent an equal amount of time searching for the best doctors around the world. I saw three doctors in person in Australia, I skyped with 10 surgeons around the world, and I also researched many others around the globe. I had no idea that the surgeons and surgery centre that I felt would be of the highest caliber would be located in New Orleans, but that is where my research took me.
