Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson employ a variety of therapies for actinic keratoses treatment. Some of these therapies include topical chemotherapy, cryosurgery, and Photodynamic Therapy (PDT). PDT is a noninvasive, in office procedure that combines topically applied aminolevulinic acid (a photosensitizing agent) and Blue Light exposure to target and treat pre-cancerous lesions.

Mohs Surgery
A new, changing or suspicious mole or skin lesion may be removed and biopsied. If skin cancer is diagnosed, Dr. Hooper or Dr. Jackson will discuss the best treatment options available for your diagnosis, and may refer you to a specialist for Mohs surgery.

Botox®, Daxxify™, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau™ are injectable neuromodulators, also known as "toxins," because they are made up of a protein called botulinum toxin-A. Dr. Jackson is a dedicated clinical trialist, and is highly committed to her patients by consistently mastering the best and latest techniques in the evolving field of medical and cosmetic dermatology. Due to her acknowledged expertise, Dr. Jackson is regularly featured in major publications and broadcasts a bi-weekly medical news segment for our local Fox 8 news station. Dermatology
Dermatology is considered a specialty in the medical world and we frequently perform procedures in addition to speaking with you about skin concerns. Your insurance plan determines whether you are responsible for paying all or part of your visit, it is your responsibility to know what your plan pays for. Many insurance plans have different pricing for specialty visits. Also, many of our patients have surgical procedures performed during their visit. Specialty office visits include verbal treatment plans, over the counter drug recommendations and prescription drug management. Surgical procedures include any procedure done in the office (surgery, biopsies, destructions/freezes, injections, PDT, and UPT’s). It is important for you to know if your plan has a deductible, surgical deductible, or has different prices for specialty visits.

Eczema
Eczema can describe a variety of itchy, red, and scaly rashes that can show up on any part of the body. Eczema is not contagious, and can range from minor to severe. If not properly treated, the rashes can sometimes lead to infections. Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of eczema, and will work with you to determine the best treatment options for your condition.
Lesions
Sun Spots, formally known as lentigines, are flat, brown lesions caused by chronic sun exposure. Sun spots usually appear on the face, chest, back, hands and top of the feet. These harmless lesions range from light to dark brown in color and contribute to an aged appearance. Some refer to these lesions as "age spots" or "liver spots" although they have nothing to do with the liver. Sun spots are non-cancerous and do not require treatment unless you wish to have them removed for cosmetic purposes. The best way to prevent the formation of sun spots is with the daily and repeated use of a broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher.

Skin Care
Skin Thinning and Laxity – Decreased collagen and elastin combined with reduced moisture retention and suppleness causes skin to thin and droop which leads to winkles, furrows and fine lines. We recommend combining a highly specialized Skin Care regimen with Exilis treatments to thicken and tighten the skin.
Psoriasis
Psoriasis is a chronic disorder that affects 2% of the U.S. population. It usually appears as thick, red or white flaky patches. It most often appears on the elbows, knees, trunk, and/or scalp though it can appear anywhere on the body. There are several different types of psoriasis, which a doctor will diagnose in order to prescribe treatment. Moderate to severe psoriasis can be associated with systemic diseases including arthritis, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of psoriasis, and will work with you to determine the best treatment options for your condition.

Allergies
Allergy testing is not required for Radiesse® filler injections, so the primary consideration for treatment is the characteristics of your anti-aging needs. Common areas of treatment with Radiesse® are various facial wrinkles and folds, and even the top of the hands. Dr. Hooper and Dr. Jackson will perform a detailed analysis of your anatomy and determine if Radiesse® is the best treatment for you.
