Founded in 1921, Delgado Community College is a multicampus, higher education institution that offers a range of certificate and associated degree programs. The college is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Delgado Community College offers programs in the areas of allied health, nursing, engineering, maritime, industrial training, liberal arts, business management, and advanced science and mathematics. The college also offers more than 400 online courses. As a part of student workforce training, Delgado Community College has affiliations with over 300 area hospitals and clinics and nearly 60 restaurants. The college is a member of the Conference of Louisiana Colleges and Universities, American Association of Community Colleges, Association of Universities Evening Colleges and American Technical Education Association. Delgado Community College maintains several locations in New Orleans.
