First off, this particular location was not open in 2008 when the first review was submitted. I have been eating at the location in Lafayette since 2004 (they moved, but we still went once they reopened). We moved an hour away, but still go to the New Iberia location that opened about 2 years ago or so. The prices have went way up, so we can no longer go every weekend like we had previously and I ALWAYS get sick, sometimes before I even finish eating, but I have a very sensitive stomach. The rest of my family loves it and rarely experience "issues". The only thing I hate is they keep changing the menu. The fish is different, noodles are different, and red chicken is different. There may be more things as well, but those were 3 of my favorite things before all of the changes. If anything else changes we will no longer go, so I hope it doesn't.

After dining on the buffet at this restaurant, my entire putt of three got ill. the good tasted either burned or as if it had been sitting on the bar all day under the heat lamps. Most of the good had the consistency of a rubber tree. This was not worth the more than forty dollars I spent on the meal.

My family and I have been eating here for years, the buffet is consistently of an above average quality and value and the table service is acceptable. However, recently one evening we were sat enjoying a family night out and had just sat down to eat when I spotted something moving out of the corner of my eye on the floor. To my amazement a small mouse was scurrying around at my feet and at one point in its expedition, jumped onto my shoe. Needless to say this bold rodent encounter changed our mood pretty quickly, not to mention experiencing an almost instantaneous loss of appetite. Other customers spotted the furry visitor too and appeared to be equally shocked.
We promplty informed the management, who seemed quite indifferent about the incident and had no apology or explaination. With this we decided to leave the establishment and respectfully requested that we ought not be billed for our half eaten meal because of the distress that the encounter had caused my family, but dispite our many years of loyal patronage the management disgracefully insisted on us paying for our dining experience in full and added salt to our wounds by asking us to not come back.
The food is good, but woe betide if you find any problems with it. They simply do not care to hear about them.
