Based in New Haven, Conn., Yale Cancer Center is one of the leading networks of over 41 comprehensive cancer centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute and currently the only one in southern New England. Founded in 1974, the network provides a wide range of cancer care services, such as patient care, research, cancer prevention and control, community outreach and education by deriving its resources from the Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale University School of Medicine. It offers clinical programs for a variety of cancer, including brain tumor, breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, and many others.
