Jewish Home for the Aged, located in New Haven, Conn., has grown to a more than 220-bed nonsectarian, skilled nursing facility, which houses the Pearl Rosenstein Center for Rehabilitation and the Goodwin-Levine Adult Day Health Center. Founded in 1914 by the Sisters of Zion, its interdisciplinary team is comprised of the physicians, nurses, social workers, recreation therapists, dieticians and rehabilitation therapists. Its comprehensive rehabilitation team of certified physical, occupational and speech therapists are dedicated to restoring wellness for senior citizens who require long-term care and for those who come following an acute illness or surgery. Its program offers one-to-one therapy, group exercise and interdisciplinary care planning. Its Goodwin-Levine Adult Day Health Center offers social and medical services for senior citizens, including nursing, personal and nutrition services.
