My first meal in New Haven. Wasnt expecting anything too great, considering its CT (offense intended). The calamari was actually really decent, fresh and crispy. My pizza on the other hand was burnt. I read some good reviews on this place for its pizza, so maybe its only a one-time case. I just might give it another try in the future.

ate there may 17th after my daughters graduation at quinnipiac university. food was pretty good .the service was about the worst ive gotten in a long time.one waiter not the friendliest. waited over a half hour after our appettizers for our meal.trying to get his attention was not easy and it wasnt even that busy. probably would not go again.even though food was ok the staff needs alot of work.

City Bistro and Hotel was my second choice. The hotel where my meeting was located was next door, but they were booked. How fortunate for me! I travel a fair amount for educational courses. Safety is my number one priority, peace and quiet is a close second. This hotel truly met my needs.
And added bonus was the price. Our meeting was located next door, at a much more expensive chain. They have a breezeway connecting the two building. Apparently they are good neighbors. City Bisto's breakfast was hearty, fresh and homemade, unlike the usual continental breakfast your receive with some popular chains.
The most have a wise management team because the staff is courteous and professional. My personal favorite was the guy who was down on his hands and knees, scrubbing the tile floor. He seemed happy to do it and said, "This is the only way to do it right."
If I return to Greenville this is where I'll stay, and I can wholeheartedly recommend them to you.

I have tried a lot of pizza since moving out here (to CT) and didn't much care for any of it. I was ready to give up on finding any good pizza in the whole state.
Pepe's is over rated
Sally's was average
Abate is a gold mine for us....it is consistently good. LOVE IT, and the price is reasonable too.
