Carrollton Cleaners

Last week (4/10/12) I dropped of my dress to Carrolton Cleaners to have in altered for a formal event. Due to my pregnancy the dress had become too short and I wanted to add 3" to the hem. I had the worst experience I have ever had with a dry cleaning/ alteration. First, it took over 25 minutes for me to be seen by the tailor/ co-owner of the shop. She could have easily spoken to be for 2 minutes while the other woman she was helping was in between outfit changes (approximately 6 total). But she let me sit there and waste my time instead.



We agreed that she would add 2" of red lace to the hem. I wanted 3" but she said that lace was the most expensive material and she could only add 2". I said fine and we negotiated a $35 price which I thought was rather expensive but I agreed because I needed the alteration. When I sent my husband to pick up the dress he called me to inform me that she in fact had not added the red lace. She had added a thick red material instead (not what I had ordered) and only 1.5 inches of it! I spent 30 minutes on the phone with them asking them to adjust the price due to the fact that they had not delivered the product as specified. They came up with every excuse in the book as to why they couldn't fulfill the order- lace only came in 1/4" thickness, it only came in 3/4" thickness, the material they had used was actually better/more expensive, etc., etc. I said I didn't care and that they should not be charging me full price for something they did wrong. They repeatedly told me to "hold on" never to come back to the phone. The last time I called I was yelled at and threatened "come to the store!" and hung up on.



If I were you I would take your hard earned money elsewhere. They were rude, had atrocious customer service, and obviously no respect for the integrity of their business or the people that they serve.
