New Caney Municipal Utility

Well I have never had my water cut off because I pay my bill on time. But what really is amazing is how my water bill can go way up. I go out to the meter to check if meter is spinning with everything off at the house too see if I have a leak. Here's what's amazing my meter has to be dug out to check it & was not spinning around. Now how in the hell did they read this meter for my bill to go up?

They know they are the only water distributor in town & they do not send a first month bill without sending it on a deliquent notice & a past due notice in the mail at the same time. How is anyone to know what they owe if they do not receive the first bill to give the customer a chance to pay before they lock you out & charge an additional $25.00 that they do not advise you about, so therefore the next bill is also past due. I was told by the unhelpful/unconcerned women in that office that you have to complain to the state of Texas about how the invoices are mailed out. I called to ask them a website or number for complaints & they told me they did not have one... Seriously it sounds like a crock of BS to me to make money off of hard working people. They do not give enough notice before they lock your water off & this should not be leagl in any state. The only bill I have ever received from New cany Mud has been past due & delinquent; never the first month, but they don't care, they collect $25.00 dollars & contnue to pass go to the next customer that they can lock out. I plan to get signatures from anyone else and take it to the STATE for billing & invoicing changes... This is ridicolous & completely WRONG!!!!! They do not deserve the STAR I had to give them in order to send this through. They deserve nothing!!!!!

New Caney MUD only cares about your money. They don't care about you or your families. Don't you dare accidently miss a payment because they will surely shut your water off. Their office hours are inconvenient, they are only open during normal business hours so if you work those same hours you can forget being able to see them. There is no nite drop either.
