Humane Society of New Braunfels

After rescuing abandoned mom with 13 2 day old puppies from freezing temperatures, I spoke with them every week for 5 weeks in which they assured me they would help since I already have 5 dogs 4 cats and ill elderly parents to care for. The last attempt was with a letter pleading for assistance in wish a letter was returned, with suggestions, such as surrendering them to animal control to be euthanized. I wrote upset about their response and have heard nothing more. I have donated many times with blankets, food or money and I am disappointed to say the least at their lack of support.

I would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff that attended to us while we were at their facility. Very friendly & was able to provide needed & helpful medical information that aided us in our decision to adopt one of their cute kittens. We were very happy with our choice & how easy the adoption process was. My only concern & the reason I am not giving 5 stars is the fact of how dirty the facility was. I know that having numerous animals that it is not clean 24/7 but the state of the animal enclosures were horrible. I really wish they were able to stay on top of cleaning because there was cat's & dogs walking around in feces because the ground was covered in it & they had no where to go. I am overall happy with our experience & feel that the kitten we adopted today is going to be a wonderful family addition that will bring many years of happiness.

This shelter does not have a veternatian and is a kill shelter. The people who are killing these innocent are not trained in medicine and put down these cats and dogs in s VERY cruel manner. They get lots of donations and etc.... you would think they would spend it on healthy practices and caring for the animals. Well they dont, the owner is a money hungry "B" that does not care about these innocent animals that they have idiot cruely killing them. Have talked to past employees who quit because they couldnt take what goes on at this slaughter house. Please try to save an animal from this death trap but while doing so make sure you can afford vet care because some of these babies need it.

A lot of money goes into this shelter and not many animals come out alive. They are running a death camp where it is more profitable to put down animals than to try and save them. And, there are lots of questions about who handles the cash donations there and what they do with it.

maybe the worker who killed the demon puppy should be put down humanely as well, at the very least fired....SHAME SHAME

They killed a PUPPY they said was vicious.. it must have weighed 2 pounds... dont do business here n definatley dont leave animals here... true story watch the news... Poor puppy...

If i didn't have to give a star i sure as hell wouldn't this shelter is horrible they take peoples pets lie about having them and adopt them out just to make a profit their holding my sisters cat and denied even having him they did the same to me last year the staff is ignorant, lazy ,and uneducated in customer service and helping in any way shape or form

It is true, the people that work in there are not friendly. And they do not seem to have any problem putting the poor animals down.
