Chinese Chef Inn

Buyer Beware - I haven't been to Chinese Chef for a while but visited recently. When ordering takeout,it is priced at $.25 by the ounce. Not a bad deal right? It sounds good, however when I was there recently, I needed a side I forgot and the cashier said it was one dollar. I looked at the scale and it said 2 ounces.

I was upset that he was charging double and he got upset he got caught. Now I realize that $.50 is not a lot of money but I started thinking of the number of people that go through there that do not notice what the scale says.

This may have been an isolated incident, but that coupled with the change in attitude this restaurant's cashier displayed makes me think that in my opinion, I will always watch the scale when making purchases there if I were ever to return, which I doubt.

The food was a lot less tasty than previous visits. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was notably less friendlier.

soda was very bad.. food taste like come from very cheap store.. it was so awful to eat there..

Another of my favorite Buffet style Chinese Restaurants. It has good food and great people working there. The buffet is always full and has a great assortment of "Americanized Chinese Food" I say this and I meant to mention this in all my reviews of Chinese Restaurants because almost all Chinese Restaurants in America are Americanized. Real Chinese Cooking does not resemble this food in the least. Believe me, I know Chinese Food. Ask anyone that has eaten real Chinese Food and they will tell you the same. Saying that and getting it off my chest, I will continue with my review. Chinese Chef in Nevada, Mo is a nice little restaurant. I say little because it is some what limited on seating. The Buffet is rather small but then they don't have a lot of room for anything larger. They do however keep it well stocked and the food is good. This restaurant get high marks as well.
