Western Maine Towing & Recovery

My 20-something daughter is using my car in Maine, and she called me yesterday to tell me "there's smoke coming out from under the hood." She had no cell service where she was (actually had to climb a mountain to call), and wasn't sure the car was safe to drive. I'm in CT, so I called Western Maine Towing and Recovery because it seemed close to where she was. I was anxious, especially since it was after 5 p.m. and I wasn't sure anyone would answer, but someone did! Josh was very reassuring and said he would text my daughter to get her location. About 10 or 15 minutes later, he called me back to say he couldn't reach her by phone, so he send her a text. Turned out, some friends came by to pick up my daughter - the car only needed coolant, so everything was okay. Even so, I was grateful for Josh's prompt reaction and reassurance. I hope my daughter has no more car problems while she's there, but I know who to call if she does.

When my car died on the side of rt 26 in Oxford I had to call for a tow. It was after midnight but the driver showed up within ten min and his smile and friendly helpful demeanor made me totally forget that it was almost 1 on a Tues and it was below zero with a wicked bad wind. He had me loaded up and out of there in less than ten min. When we got back to the shop he went right to work on my car and before my ride had even gotten there he told me exactly what the problem was and that he'd have it fixed as soon as the auto parts place opened in the morning. I had a call by 930 that morning telling me to come get my car! I couldn't believe he had it done so quick and the price certainly didn't reflect the late hours or the awesome work performed. He could have charged me twice as much and I would have happily paid it! It's just nice to see there's still people out there who really want to help their fellow neighbor and not just squeeze every dime they can get out of them! Thanks again josh, you're a lifesaver!
