Overall
Horrible Experience

It was years ago, but I took my car there to have a new transmission put in. I got the call telling me my car was done. When I pulled in their parking lot I saw my car sitting there, dirty as it could possibly be. You couldn't even tell my car was red. I got the keys, paid my bill, and headed out the door to leave. I got in my car and it wouldn't start. It wouldn't even turn over. How the heck could it be OUTSIDE their shop if it wouldn't even start? Someone obviously pushed it out there. Why would they call me and tell me it was done if the thing wouldn't even start? I went back inside and was treated like it was my fault and I was an idiot. Someone finally did come outside and found out it was the clutch safety switch that was bad. He just unplugged it and I was on my pissed off way. (If you don't know what the clutch safety switch is, it makes sure the clutch is depressed so you can't start the car while it is in gear.)

Now for the second part of my experience... a short time after I got my car back, it started loosing coolant at a good pace. I found it was coming from around the thermostat housing gasket. I took off the housing and found that one of the bolts had been twisted off, and they put TWO gaskets on instead of drilling out the bolt and tapping for a new one. I don't know why they were fiddling with the thermostat housing, but I do know it was them, because I had changed the thermostat prior to taking it to Transmission Unlimited, and all the bolts were fine. I will never take any vehicle there again, and recommend you don't either.
