Dr. Amester and Dr. Hood saved my dogs life. I am eternally grateful for the both of them. After battling an unknown illness for 4 years that resulted in multiple hospitalizations, I scheduled an appointment with them for a second opinion and after all these years we have a diagnosis and the right medications. My fur baby is FINALLY on the road to recovery! They call me back when every I call, and check on her often. The staff is also amazing. Every employee there is kind and helpful.

We love St. Bernard Vet, especially Dr. Amster. They are exceptionally sweet with our hyper big dogs and we've always received very compassionate and exceptional service. Fully recommended!

The overcharging because of the lack of competition in the Parish is just unacceptable. This is one of those places. I called to get the cost for bladder stone removal for my dog and what she quoted was almost double of what a very popular vet in Metairie had quoted me. I then stated to her that the price was outrageous and stated that other places were charging must less and she said "Well, that's what we charge here" in an off, trying to be humorous way. I did not find it humorous nor professional. My dog is sick. she could have at least pretended to be compassionate.



With that kind of professionalism or lack of, I wouldn't take my dog to this place to get her nails trimmed.



People will continue to shop outside of the Parish as long as the businesses continue to take advantage of this recovering community.
