Shipley Drywall

Mr. Shipley was recommended by an upstanding company in Bloomington. He was paid $450.00 to fix a hole where the contractor had accidentally dropped a pipe through the ceiling and to close up the gap around the newly installed bathroom light and fan fixture. Mr. Shipley and his crew were good at arranging and getting the check quickly. They did tend to just stop by the house without warning and that meant no one was home. They also left the mess after sanding the poor patch job that had no water sealant protection. What was not good was the follow up. I contacted Mr. Shipley 3 times after he did the final sanding of the ceiling. I let him know that insulation kept falling from the attic to the fan/light fixture every time I would turn it on. I let him know my concerns that it could ruin my new bathroom fan/light. He did not respond to any of my messages. I even told him about this review. He still has not responded. He was more than happy to take my money though. I would not recommend his work to anyone. He did ok, but I could have bought the putty and done it myself as well as he and his crew did. I just wanted it done right, so I thought I should hire a professional....Lesson learned. Don't hire Shipley Drywall.
