Ormolu Appraisals & Estate Services: Debra and Jerry Jensen and their team provided excellent services for our parent’s estate sale. After doing a lot of research, we interviewed four promising estate sales companies, and decided on Ormolu because we thought they were professional and would provide personal service instead of dealing with a company that farms the work out to someone else on their staff. We were not disappointed. It is a bit uneasy turning over keys to your house to someone and then walking away and letting them handle everything, but our trust was not misplaced. Although we live in town, we stopped by a few times before the sale to see how things were going. Debra or Jerry were always there working and sometimes had members of their team helping, too. They cleaned everything, fixed broken items that were reparable, rearranged the entire house to display items, brought in tables and display cabinets, replaced burned out light bulbs, and put price/description tags on items. Everything was so well organized that you could tell they had been doing this a long time. During the sale, rooms were staffed with personnel to open locked curio cabinets and prevent pilferage, and access to the house was controlled for added security. They gave our sale their undivided attention and had no other sales going on at the same time. Debra and Jerry did not bother us with a lot of calls about small things, but did keep in regular contact with status updates and questions on major decisions. They handled it all, including customer removal and pick-up of everything, including lighting fixtures and large furniture. After the sale was over, Debra and Jerry gave us a list of items sold/prices, check for the proceeds, house key, and list of people interested in buying the house. One of the things we learned in going through this process was that we should not have gone through and donated/thrown out anything before calling an estate sale company, because they handle all the small items such as kitchen gadgets, clothes, non-perishable food, junk drawer (everyone has one!) items, etc., not just the big/expensive items. Our only disappointment was that the market for some items such as hummels is not good, so some things did not bring in as much as initially expected. If you do not have the resources, time, or expertise to hold your own estate sale, we highly recommend Ormolu. Debra and Jerry Jensen were great to work with and were very reliable and trustworthy. I hired Debra to liquidate my parents' 3000 sq ft home. Wow! What attention to detail. They cleaned everything that was to be sold, making everything look brand new again. The physical work they all did and the long hours they worked paid off! I was very impressed with the prices realized at the sale, and the house had never looked as beautiful in all the years my mom lived there. They even found a stash of cash which was immediately turned over to us. Hire these people without hesitation. Their honesty & work ethic is beyond reproach! I am so glad they were referred to me.

After interviewing 4 companies to liquidate my mothers estate, it was no contest! I wanted the Ormolu team to do the job. What a tightly run ship! No detail was overlooked. Everything was priced & displayed to perfection~ it looked more like a high end boutique than a house sale. The staff of 10 that worked at the house for the sale was very professional & did an unbelievable job of selling virtually everything. The end result was that I received 2 1/2 times what every other company estimated the proceeds of the sale would be. This company exceeded my expectations (which were high) and then some! They knew how to price and sell the quality items that my mother owned. I never dreamed they would get the prices they did. They did a very professional job, and went above & beyond their job to achieve the result they did. I highly recommend Debra & her staff without any reservation whatsoever!

Ormolu far exceeded my expectations and hopes. They were able to negotiate and close deals at prices I never expected and for items I thought were unmarketable. They sold nearly every thing that wasn't nailed down and some things that were! They worked hard to make the entire house and all the goods in it to look its "Sunday Best." The bottom line -- I received far more than I had thought possible with little effort on my part. Ormolu took the emotion out of a very emotional job so that I could concentrate on the important task of seeing to my mother's needs. Thank you.
