Good prices on the things i need

The seed and feed part is great. A little high on prices with some things but that's pretty much every store.

The wood part, not so much. We ordered a cord of dry wood, and paid for dry seasoned wood. Most of this wood only sizzles in the fireplace. The only way to get it to somewhat burn is to split it down more.
Come on you guys, seasoned dry wood means DRY....not wet. People don't buy their wood unless you plan on letting it set for a year.

DO NOT BUY from Metcalf's Trading Post, I would high recommend not buying from this company. Bought item not thinking I had to check the expiration date but I was wrong. This stuff was over a year old and I called them within a week of purchasing it. They told me I should have checked before I bought. That was a $70.00 mistake. Nice going Metcalf, I will no longer be buying from your company and will steer anyone I come in contact with away from your crappy service.

It is nice to know that I have steered several people away. I may not put you out of business, but I will keep posting this till I die. I won't let you rip off anyone else. You maybe wonderful people to some, but I was a customer and you treated me like this.

Tractor Supply is only a few miles away and have lots of the same stuff and better pricing.

Ordered 1 cord of wood (128 cubic feet) delivered, and paid additional for delivery. When I stacked the wood, it measured 39"X56"X84" That equals 106.167 cubic feet, which, by my calculation is 21.833 SHORT. That is over 1 week of heat for me. Sad to say that I am a local, and am very disappointed, Alan.
