They are absolutely incredible.
Termites
When it comes to termite treatment, pest control, and ridding your home of crawl space moisture, Manning’s Pest Control has your back! Over the years we have helped countless people have a home free of pests and other unwanted critters. Pests inhibit your ability to feel relaxed and at ease in your own home. Manning’s will not stand for this! We believe your home should be your sanctuary where you can relax and feel comfortable. Getting the occasional bug in your home is inevitable. The problem arises when these pests decide that your home is their home too. As numbers grow, it becomes too much of a hassle to take care of the problem on your own. Rely on the experts who have the proper tools and equipment to take care of your pests. This is especially crucial as termites can cause structural damage to your home putting your homes value and the people inside it at risk.
Bed Bugs
Bed bugs move between their human host and their surroundings where they hide during the day. Hiding places include the seams and folds of mattresses, cracks and crevices of bedside furniture, as well as floor moldings and other protected spaces. They can survive for long periods off the host without feeding, or they may feed on an alternate warm-blooded host animal, but humans are the bed bug’s preferred host. Our bed bug exterminators understand that getting into bed and discovering bed bugs is one of the things you least want to experience. We will make sure your bed is safe from bed bugs so you can sleep at ease.
Fleas
If you have dogs or cats, there is a chance they could bring fleas into your home. Fleas are parasites that feast on blood from your pet. They also feed on the blood of humans. Fleas will suck out the blood after piercing the skin. Flea bites are not painful to humans, but they can cause irritation and, in some cases, lead to infection or the transfer of parasites, including tapeworms.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches are annoying little pests who will infiltrate your home ready to feed on food scraps. They will also carry disease with them like salmonella, dysentery, and other stomach ailments. No matter how much you try to keep your home spotless, even the cleanest homes are still vulnerable to cockroaches. They get into difficult-to-reach places and search for food in places like unsealed food containers, grease stains, and more. Making it even more difficult to stop cockroaches, they tend to hide and sleep during the day and crawl around at night while you’re asleep. The most important thing to do is hire an expert to stop your roach infestation.
Silverfish
Silverfish are common pests that may already be living in your home. They love paper and fabrics and will search for these materials while hiding out in basements, walls, bookcases, attics, and other dark spaces. Often, silverfish will make their way into your home through cardboard boxes, milk cartons, or even some furniture items.
Bees
Bees are a very valuable and important part of our ecosystem, but when they are in the wrong place and the wrong time, they can become a pest. When a swarm of bees decides to build a hive near your home, they can become a danger to people, especially if the hive is disturbed. It can be helpful to determine what kind of bees you are dealing with. In many cases, homeowners believe that they have bumblebees, only to learn that they have carpenter bees.
Wasps
Yellow jacket wasps can be quite dangerous to humans since they have a painful sting and cause massive swelling. There have been cases where death has resulted from wasp stings. Caution needs to be taken around wasps. They are easily identifiable by the yellow and black stripes on their body.
Mosquitoes
Nothing can ruin your time outdoors faster than the itching, irritating bites of mosquitoes, and they are more than a just nuisance. Mosquitos are a very real health hazard. With mosquito-borne illness including Malaria, West Nile and Zica virus on the rise, infecting millions of people worldwide, controlling them in your outdoor space is one of the most important things you can do to protect your family.
Flies
My family and I recently moved to NC from Michigan. Where we previously lived, all we needed to worry about was an occasional spider getting in the house, or maybe a couple stray ants or flies; not cockroaches, wolf spiders, or big a** aggressive bumblebees. Manning's Pest Control to the rescue! Brad, the tech that has been coming out to spray our house/yard is excellent. He is very positive and friendly, professional, and knowledgeable; he was able to answer any questions we had about our "new" visitors. Great company, highly recommend!
Centipedes
These creepy, crawly arthropods are a common house pest that, like other pests, chooses to invade your home due to its warmth, safety, and easy food source. Centipedes can survive in both dry and moist places, but they are more often found in or under dark, damp areas. Basements and drains are some of the most common areas, as they can enter your home through cracks in your foundation, windows, doors, and drains.
Appearance – Moles in North Carolina are subterranean mammals that are notorious for causing extensive damage to property – especially lawns. They are solitary animals with brown or gray fur and range in size from 5-8 inches in length. Their large front claws and strong shoulders allow them to easily tunnel underground, where they will make their homes and feed on worms and other insects.

Snakes

Wildlife
Manning’s wildlife control services are comprehensive and effective! Our team undergoes extensive training to provide the best services and results.
Opossums
While opossums are not aggressive or a threat, they can certainly be a pain to deal with. Their hissing or drooling is often mistaken for rabies, but rabies is quite rare in opossums. A mother and her babies will often find their way under your deck for a nice place to rest, which can also make it difficult to get rid of them
Usually the most effective way to control rats and mice is through baits, including sticky straps and mechanical traps. Baiting is the best way to lure rats and mice and get rid of them. Rat baiting includes the use of dispensers safely placed in areas where rats gather but pets or children can’t touch them. To ensure rodents can’t make their way into your home anymore, sealing all tiny entryways into your home should be explored.
Mice
Rats and mice are two pests no homeowner wants to run into. They can hide in areas of your home as they thrive on unsanitary areas. Rats and mice can carry disease through their droppings, which they can leave throughout your home. During cold weather months, rats and mice will seek warmth and find their way indoors. They will be attracted to areas where they can find food, including near garbage cans and refrigerators. Most often, rats and mice will be found hiding in drains or under floors.
Rats
Have you noticed rats either inside your home or lurking outside? Getting rid of rats in your home can be a tricky business, especially since they like to hide in hard-to-reach areas. Manning’s team utilizes highly effective baits and traps that will exterminate rats in and around your home
Squirrels
As the seasons change in Wilmington, NC and the weather starts getting colder, we humans aren’t the only ones who don’t want to face the falling temperatures. Small rodents, such as mice, rats and squirrels can become household pests as they head inside to look for warmth, shelter and food. Homeowners can take precautionary steps to try avoid attracting these rodents, such as making sure no food-related items are left out, but often times these pests make a new home indoors and professional pest control is required. Be on the lookout for evidence of these pests in areas you don’t often check, such as rarely-used drawers or beneath appliances in the kitchen and basement. These animals can carry diseases and destroy food and other items inside, so it is important to get rid of them as quickly as possible.
