His guy came to check my irrigation leak. I thought it was a bad valve, because a prior guy said that was the problem (but had gotten sick and couldn't return to replace it). The McCourt worker thought the valve was okay but didn't diagnose what the problem WAS. In talking to Jim by phone, we agreed to replace the valve. Later, when I found the problem not solved, they came back, but said the new valve was not faulty. Within five minutes, he discovered it was a broken pipe. So why didn't he do that the first time, and why did I waste $183 on an unnecessary new valve?
