Hogins Plumbing & Heating

I was very happy when Hogins Plumbing came out to my house in Palmer to fix a mysterious gurgling sound in our sink. Others have tried to "help" us, and it cost us almost $1,000 of pumping the septic, spraying out the pipes, but the problem wasn't even truly identified until Hogins came out. He knew within 5 minutes and could recreate the problem. I was happy with their service. The man who came out was kind and polite and very competent.

Never use Hogins Plumbing and Heating in Anchorage. I had the extreme misfortune of my warranty company assigning them to my furnace issue. Waited a week before they called to come out when they had another call in my area. Two hours after the time they said they would be at my home, the tech shows up with his young daughter and made her sit upstairs with me and have her ask me questions she knew nothing about which made her seem terrified and uncomfortable. He “fixed” the issue which lasted a whole day.

Two weeks later after talking to my warranty company, Hogins calls me back to schedule another trip out from Anchorage only when they have another call in my area. That tech was on the phone with another tech trying to figure out what was wrong. They think it was a certain part and then leave. Then I wait another week before I get another call from Hogins asking what the part number was on the thing they think is causing the issue. Obviously the tech didn’t get that information when he was out. I was at work and couldn’t get that info since I wasn’t home. I told him the make and model of my furnace which he apparently didn’t have either. Two more weeks and I had to call my warranty company because Hogins hadn’t contacted me with an update.

I wound up fixing it myself with some help and told my warranty company to never use them again and I want the claim closed. They do so and apologize for the inconvenience.

So after over a month with space heaters, closing ourselves off to live in the living room, and blanketing off the windows and doors, I fixed my furnace with help and now have a $227 electric bill.

Hogins plumbing and heating is great. They try to be their on time all the time. And their not that expensive only $120 an hour who could beat that? Hogins plumbing is your guy. Call or text them right now! They always do wonderful work!
