Barbeau Don Appliances

Was desperate to get a clothes washer repaired, called Don's Appliance. I have only one positive thing to say, and that is the repairman showed up on short notice. From that point on, however, the service was awful. The repairman told me he needed a part and would come back the next day with it to fix my washer. I was going to be out of town the next day so I told him it would probably have to be the day after. When I got back into town, I called to schedule service and was told by the lady on the phone that it would be "2 or 3 days" before the part would be shipped, even though the repairman originally told me he would be back the next day with the part. Seemed very odd, but the lady answering my call had no explanation for this inconsistency. It was clear from speaking to her that she had little intelligence/ability to communicate, and I would say the same for the repairman. Finally I called again to schedule service after not hearing from Don's Appliance for a few days. The repairman told me he would be at my house between 2 and 5pm. I asked him would he call before coming during that time period, but he said no, he usually just "shows up". Still desperate to get my washer fixed, I just agreed. I waited all afternoon and at 5pm he had still not arrived. I called him to find out when he would be coming, he said he forgot about the appointment.



These people just seem rather clueless and had little regard for me as a customer. I would certainly never recommend Don's Appliance to anyone.
