Pediatric Care
Below is a list of forms that we request you fill out before your first visit to Baer Pediatrics. When you call and schedule your appointment, we will let you know what forms we need filled out. Please download and print the appropriate forms, then complete the forms. Thank you for filling these out in advance of your visit.
Primary Care
She completed her pediatrics residency through St. Louis University at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed taking care of all aspects of a child’s health, which drove her to pursue a career as a primary care pediatrician. Her favorite part about being a pediatrician is getting to know the kids and their families as they grow, and she is excited to build relationships with the patients at Baer Pediatrics. She is also very excited to get to work alongside her mom, Dr. Ann Marie Rockamann, who is an OBGYN here at Missouri Baptist, and her twin sister, Rachael, who is a labor and delivery nurse here as well.
Immunizations
Although vaccines provide many benefits, the main purpose is to keep your child healthy. Vaccines are tested for years prior to licensing for use and afterwards are monitored very closely for any indications of lack of safety. Vaccines have been researched very closely from a scientific standpoint, and there is no medical evidence whatsoever of any relationship between immunizations and autism.

Labor and Delivery
Julie has always enjoyed helping people, making Nursing the perfect career choice. She graduated with a BSN in Nursing from Truman State University where she also played volleyball. She began her career as a labor and delivery nurse at Missouri Baptist Medical Center and still continues to work there. Her favorite part of her role is working with parents and children of all ages. Julie and her husband, Dan, have two kids Nate and Riley; and Jake, a black lab. They love going to the kids sporting games, out on their boat, and to the family farm together. Julie’s favorite Children’s books are: "If Animals Kissed Goodnight" and "Goodnight Pensacola."

Autism
We recognize that there is controversy surrounding vaccines. If you have any questions or concerns regarding vaccines, please discuss these with us at your visit. In some cases, we may alter the schedule to accommodate parental concerns or reservations. However, all of the evidence shows that vaccines do not cause autism, so delaying or withholding vaccines will not lessen the risk of autism; it will only increase the period of time during which children are at unnecessary risk for vaccine–preventable diseases.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Now retired, Dr. Jill Baer, who founded Baer Pediatrics over 35 years ago, has been passionate about her career in St. Louis. Dr. Baer grew up in Belleville, IL. She attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington where she earned degrees in pharmacy and medicine. She returned to St.Louis and completed her residency in pediatrics at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. She was an Associate Professor in pediatrics at Washington University. Board–certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interests still include breast feeding, asthma, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

Physical Therapists

Sports Medicine
During her pediatric training, Dr. Mennemeier received a grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics to promote child advocacy. She developed a pediatric curriculum to eliminate children’s exposure to tobacco smoke. She has spearheaded this program at the St. Louis Pediatric Society, Grand Rounds presentations and at the national American Academy of Pediatrics meeting. She plans to continue to teach students and residents in the future. She is a board- certified member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interests include newborn medicine, child advocacy, sports medicine and adolescent health care.
